MYRA School of Business was recognized in 2012 under the aegis of Mysore Royal Academy. It has AICTE approval. According to the IIRF, the Myra School of Business ranking in India is 34th. However, within a short period, it has gained recognition from several ranking agencies. It holds the A+++ place among India's Best B-Schools for 2020. In 2017, the Institution was given the Best Education Brands award.

The notable feature of MYRA is it brings faculty from premier B Schools such as IIMs, Penn State University, Texas A&M University, New York University, University of North Texas, and more. This is to bridge the quality gap in Indian business education with a global curriculum. Henceforth, MYRA Business School Mysore offers an international learning experience in India.

MYRA offers admission to the PGDM in Major/Minor Specializations. Candidates who qualify with valid national aptitude tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, NMAT, GMAT, or GRE can apply for admission. If not, students are mandated to take up the MYRA Entrance Test. To apply for any course, interested candidates must complete an online or offline application. The decision will depend on many factors, though. Depending on how well the pupils perform, the school gives each of them a certain number of points.

PGDM Eligibility Criteria:

A minimum requirement is to have a UG degree in any stream with a minimum GPA of 50% from an accredited institution. Educational background, extracurricular activities, accolades, and hons are also considered while evaluating. The eligibility requirements for SC, ST, and OBC candidates follow AICTE guidelines.

PGDM Selection Criteria:

The college selects students based on several factors, including their academic performance in their tenth, twelfth, and graduation years, their MET or admission test scores, their extracurricular activities and achievements, any work experience they may have had, and their case study results.

  • Exams like the CAT, XAT, GMAT, GRE, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, and ATMA are acceptable for MYRA Business School MBA equivalent PGDM Course admission.
  • However, suppose students who have not attempted any of the aptitude tests at a national level are required to undertake the MET (MYRA Entrance Exam)
  • The entrance test result is a crucial selection criterion that accounts for 25% of the decision to admit students.
  • Candidates are given points based on their academic standing and entrance exam results. In addition, applicants who meet the qualifications must complete a Case Analysis, based on which the shortlisted candidates are contacted for a PI round.
  • Merit Performance, Scores on the Qualifying Exams, Case Analysis, and PI each account for 25% of the final decision.

The school offers a PGDM and a global MBA for 2-years, full-time duration. MYRA School of Business Admission can be done by filling in application either offline or online, with a fee of INR 500 for Indian candidates and USD 20 for International candidates. Basically the candidates need to have pursued their bachelor’s degree with a min. of 50% aggregate marks, irrespective of the branch. Also, most significantly the candidate needs to apply for the CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE entrance tests. The marks secured in these play a vital role in selection; a min. of 60% percentile is considered feasible for CAT. The statement of purpose essay also plays a pivotal role in the selection, wherein a mark is assigned for every requirement. Besides candidates with work experience will also have an advantage.
