MBA Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to be granted Modern Institute of Business Management  Course admission to the full-time MBA program, as per the regulations of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State.

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • a minimum three-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or the University Grants Commission, with at least 50% of the total marks in the program, or the equivalent (at least 45% for candidates from the economically disadvantaged group, candidates from the backward class, and candidates with disabilities who are only from Maharashtra State);

How to get admission in Modern Institute of Business Management ?

 Here are the steps for the Modern College Pune admissions process at a glance

 Step 1: Entrance Exam:

For the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET/CAT/CMAT Entrance Exam, apply online. The relevant authorities' website provides details about each entrance exam, including its specific date, time, pattern, marking scheme, and frequency.

Step 2: Attend the FC (Facilitation Center).

  • In order to verify their documents, candidates must report to the Facilitation Center (FC). The Maharashtra State CET Cell has published a list of facilitation centers on its website.
  • Candidates may also use any computer with an internet connection, whether at home or elsewhere, to complete the online application form and submit scanned copies of the necessary papers.
  • When completing the Modern Institute of Business Management application form, candidates must upload scanned images of the relevant original documents that meet the admission requirements and complete all the essential fields as directed.
  • After completing and submitting the application form, candidates must verify the accuracy of all information, print the form, and sign it.

Step 3: Displaying the Final Merit List

Final merit lists are displayed or published, grievances, if any, are submitted using the procedure outlined by the competent authority for this purpose, and the provisional merit list is displayed or published.

Step 4: Option Form Filling

Prior to the corresponding CAP rounds, complete and confirm the online option form with preferences for courses and institutions.

  • Select the colleges in order of preferences.
  • First Shift Choice Code: 663110110 CET; DTE Institute Code: MB6631.The State of Maharashtra Cell will assign colleges based on the students' academic standing.

Step 5: Report to the Scrutiny Center

  • Provisional allotment of the appropriate CAP round displayed, including the assigned course and institute
  • The Candidate shall report and accept the offered seat at the Admission Reporting Center in accordance with the timetable announced by the Competent Authority by using the procedure authorized by the Competent Authority in order to accept the offered seat and correct any inaccuracies in accordance with the clause

Step 6: Reporting to the College

The candidate should report to the designated institute only after reporting to the Scrutiny Center in order to request admission on the designated seat in accordance with the final allotment in the CAP rounds.

Documents Required

Documents that must be uploaded with the "Centralized Admission Process Application Form"

1. SSC mark sheet (Std. X).

2. Diploma or HSC mark sheet

3. Mark sheet for the qualifying exam or graduation.

4. The CET Score Card/Mark Sheet.

5. Certificate of School Dismissal

6. The candidate's certificate of Indian nationality and domicile

7. The candidate's birth certificate or leaving certificate indicating the state of Maharashtra of birth.

8. A certificate of caste

9. A certificate of caste validity

10. The certificate for non-creamy layer is valid until March 31 (admission year)

The eligibility requirement for MBA in MIBM is to have completed their UG degree in any stream and attempted any national level exams like CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT etc.  

What is the eligibility requirement for a full-time MBA program in this college?

The minimum eligibility for MBA aspirants is to have passed a graduation degree in any stream without any backlogs. Whereas  the selection criteria depends on entrance exams like CAT/ XAT/ MAT etc.

Candidates holding bachelor’s degree despite of any stream with minimum marks are eligible to apply while on basis of entrance exam score like GMAT/CAT/XAT/CAT/ATMA or MAHCET basis Modern Institute of Business Management admissions to MBA will be offered. MAHCET cut-off for MBA put up is 89.
