Admission in MIT School of Distance Education Pune 2025: Date, Cutoff, Eligibility

MIT SDE is one of the popular distance education institutes established in the country. MITSDE is AICTE approved. The institute is ranked amongst the top distance education institutes, as stated by Higher Education Review. MITSDE  offer the PGDM program as its only academic program. The PGDM program has a similar outcome to the MBA program in management.

MIT Distance Learning PGDM Admissions

The distance PGDM program is a 1 year 3 months course. The program is available as PGDBA, PGDCM and Ex-PGDM. The course training is provided through self-learning materials and recorded videos. Also, the students can opt for digital study material.

They must register for the program examination by paying the exam fees. The MIT Distance Education semesters exams will be held online in distance learning centres chosen by the candidates. Even the MITSDE exam results will be given out online. The students can know the results by visiting the institute website using a student login. By the end of the program, the participants will be given placement training opportunities.

The minimum requirement to apply for the distance PGDM program is to have completed any graduate degree from a familiar University with a minimum of 50% and no backlogs. In the case of the Executive PGDM program, the candidate must have graduated from a recognized University and have full-time work experience of a minimum of five years after graduation.

This program is offered in multiple specializations as per the interest of the candidate's career scope.

• PGDM in Project Management:  This program covers IT, Pharmaceutical, Petro-Chemical, Construction, Project Coordinator, Project Planner, Project Scheduler, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager.
• PGDM in Operations Management: The course outcome is empowered with innovations management, process modelling, forecasting, new product development, planning, risk management, monitoring and control and, to some extent, supply chain.  
• PGDM in Finance Management: The program provides brief knowledge about the concepts of financial management like bookkeeping, financing, cash flow, budgeting, accounting, reporting etc.
• PGDM in HR Management: The HRM curriculum is designed to present real-world case studies and provide a practical understanding of current scenarios.
• PGDM in Financial Service Management: The program teaches crucial management concepts and makes them immediately employable. Some sectors include Banking, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Stocks and other finance-related topics.  
• PGDM in Construction and Project Management: The course is designed to be skilled in career roles like Facility Operation Specialist, Infrastructure Manager, Project Resource Manager, Program Manager, Operation Manager and Infrastructure Administrator.

Some other streams are PGDM in IT Management, PGDM in Marketing Management, PGDM in Material Management, and PGDM in Supply Chain Management.

MIT Distance Education Application process

Aspirants willing to apply for the PGDM program at this institute can submit their applications online or walk in directly to the institute campus and submit the form; otherwise, send it through post. There is no last date for applying to these programs, as admissions are done all year round. Therefore, the applications can be submitted at any time of the year.

Online application process:

• Candidates can fill out the application form of the institute available on the official website. MIT Distance Learning Login.
• The candidates must fill in the application form duly.
• Candidates must email the following document list for verification via email to admissions@mitsde.com.
• MIT SDE application does not ask for any application fee which needs for applying to the courses at MITSDE.
• Course tuition fees can be paid online through the payment portal on the MTSDE website.

Below are the documents that must be attached while filling out the form.

• Two passport-size photographs must be pasted on the application form, and the other is for the ID card size.
• Photocopy of educational qualifications like Graduation / Diploma / Provisional Certificate / 12th and 10th class as applicable.
• If the participants are from a Defense background, they must submit the Service Certificate.
• Document for Name Change (if applicable).
• Copy of some of the government photo ID proof like Passport, PAN Card, Driver's License and Aadhar Card.
• If the participants are NRI / International students, then a foreign address is mandatory/ photocopy of the passport page showing the visa of the foreign country.
• Students must pay the tuition fees through Demand Drafts (DD) in the name of MITSDE" Pune.
• A copy of the Online printout of the fees paid must be submitted in case of online application submissions.

In the case of a walk-in application, the candidates must submit the application form directly or request to send it through post or courier.
