Manipal Institute of Technology was established in 1957 and popularized as MIT. More than 1500+ students are trained every academic year. MIT is the constituent part of the prestigious University Manipal Academy of Higher Education. MIT offers UG and PG standards in streams like Engineering and Computer Applications courses. MIT has also gained popularity for its placement opportunities, and the highest package offered to date is 43.31 LPA and the average package of 8.8 LPA. Admission at MIT Manipal is based on entrance tests & academic merit. MIT has been ranked 56 for B-Tech by NIRF 2023.

  • For admission to the B Tech in MIT Manipal, candidates must clear the MET (Manipal Entrance Test) with a valid score, which must be equivalent to or greater than the cut-off score.
  • The eligibility requirement for B-tech admissions in MIT requires them to have completed their 10+2 board exams with a minimum of 45% in core subjects like PCM.
  • The Manipal MET cut-off scores for B Tech keep varying every year based on different factors of the examination.
  • Those who qualify in the MET Exam and satisfy the cut off criteria have to undergo MET Counselling for the seat allotment process. The counselling will be administrated by its affiliated University, MAHE/Manipal University.
  • In addition to B Tech, MIT offers admission to M Tech and MCA at PG level. Candidates who wish to apply for M Tech must have a valid score in GATE. Whereas admission to the MCA will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.

  • Students are asked to fill in personal, academic and general relevant info and then upload the necessary documents.
  • The application fees in MIT is INR 600 for general category candidates by paying in preferred methods.

  • The selection criteria for the B-Tech program in MIT is possible by considering the cut-off scores in the MET exam at the institute level.

  • Candidates who have cleared JEE Main can apply for DASA UG via online based on their rank acquired in JEE Main. By compiling the JEE Main score, the DASA UG Cut off list will be prepared.

I took Manipal Institute of Technology admissions to the B.tech in biotechnology by writing the MUOET. They announced the rank as well as the cut-off marks so based on that we get admission. For example the college cut-off marks were 25,000 but I had got 10,000 so I got the B.tech set without much struggle.

Hi Anshita, Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal admissions to B.Tech are on basis of MU-OET or related state level or national level entrance exam. Also fee is INR 15.50 lakhs.

Admission at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipalfor B.Tech:

  • For admission at Manipal Institute of Technology aspirants’ should obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate in 10+2.
  • Entrance examination accepted for admission at Manipal Institute of Technology is MAHE-OET conducted by the institute itself. 
  • MAHE-OET is an online examination which will be conducted by Manipal University on 19th April 2018.

Manipal Institute of Technology Manipal Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in MU-OET 2017 which is Manipal University Online Entrance Test.

Total fee for B.TECH program will be 14,11,000.
