MEC is a self-financing college established in 1998, Mailam, Tamil Nadu. The vision of the Institute is to create a blend between technology and tradition. MEC has ranked at the top among the top most colleges in the Villupuram district. The college encourages the students to make use of the highest standard of learning. MEC is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to A.U., Tamil Nadu. The Institute offers courses like U.G. and P.G. courses in various categories.

  • The Institute offers B. Tech and B.E. course under U.G. level and MBA, ME and MCA under P.G. level.
  • Admission for B. Tech and B.E. course at MEC depends on TNEA counselling.
  • Admission for the M.E. course at MEC is based on marks scored in the TANCET exam.
  • Admission for an MBA course is based on CAT / MAT / XAT or TANCET exam scores.

Mailam Engineering College U.G. Admission 

The Institute of MEC offers B. Tech and B.E. course in 6 disciplines to selected students. The duration for B. Tech and B.E. courses is four years.

  • MEC offers a total of 1020 seats for the B.E. and B. Tech course. 
  • The Institute offers a B. Tech / B.E. course for the students who have passed the 10+2 in PCM exam with 50% marks.
  • Admission for B. Tech or B.E. at MEC is based on TNEA counselling and marks scores in the qualifying exam.
  • The selected student's list will be prepared by Anna University and sent to the Institute for further admission.

The Institute offers an M.E. course for two years in various specializations. Candidates must have passed with eligible marks and pass the entrance exam.

  • The ME course is offered with a total intake of 84 students per year. 
  • Eligibility of M.E. course at MEC, students must hold 50% marks in B. Tech or B.E. examination.
  • Admission for the M.E. course at MEC depends on GATE or TANCET exam scores.
  • Candidates will eligible makes will be allowed to appear in the TANCET entrance exam conducted by Anna University.

The Institute offers M.B.A. and M.C.A. course to students with various specializations. M.B.A. course is being provided with 120 seats, and M.C.A. offered in 60 seats per year.

  • Eligibility for M.C.A. course at M.E.C., candidates must have passed any degree with 50% marks.
  • Admission for the M.C.A. course at M.E.C. is based on marks scores TANCET exam.
  • Eligibility for M.B.A. course at M.E.C., candidates must have passed U.G. degree with 50% marks.

Hi, Admission in the institute is based on merit and entrance. Willing to apply for B.Tech you must have at least 50% aggregate in XII taken PCM as mains. TNEA is a compulsory exam you need to have good score and followed by counselling. To apply for the institute you need to fill the application form through online mode only.
