Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research, popularly known as MIMER, is one of India's prestigious private medical colleges. It was established in 1994, located in Pune, Maharashtra. MIMER Pune is now affiliated under the state-university  Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Nashik and approved under the Medical Council of India (MCI). The institution has been accredited with a grade "A" by NAAC. The institution was established to cover the gap of society and provide the aim of offering students great medical education facilities. The institution offers MBBS courses with an intake of 150 students per year and MD/MS courses with 35 students per year. MIMER Pune has been associated with the renowned Talegaon General Hospital. The hospital laid its foundation in 1925, and Dr. B. S. alias Bhausaheb Sardesai did it. The hospital was later renamed the Dr. Bhausaheb Sardesai Talegaon Hospital.

  4. In case the candidates belong to the OBC category, they will be offered a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks.
  5. The candidates belonging to the SC and ST will be offered the relaxation of 10% marks in all of the subjects added together.

MIMER MBBS Selection Criteria

  • The candidates will be evaluated for selection in the MBBS course at MIMER Pune based on their performance in the common entrance exam.
  • The total intake of candidates in the MBBS course at MIMER Pune is 150.
  • 85% of the total seats will be reserved for the candidates applying through the state quota seats.
  • 15% of the remaining seats will be sanctioned to the candidates applying under the Management quota/NRI in MIMER.
  • Following the announcement of NEET Results, candidates have to register for Maharashtra State Level Counselling. The Directorate of Health Services Maharashtra will conduct the Counselling.
  •  Candidates can go through the official website of DHS Maharashtra and can register themselves for Counselling.
  • The counselling process concludes with online registration, document verification, option filling, and seat allotment.
  • The most important aspect is that candidates must satisfy the MIMER Pune NEET cut-off criteria.
  • If students hold a valid rank in NEET as per the cut off norms, they will secure an MBBS seat via counselling mode.

MIMER Pune MD/MS admission

  • MIMER Pune provides MD/MS PG degree courses in Medical Studies. The duration of the PG courses at MIMER Pune is 3 academic years.
  • The MS course at  MIMER Pune is offered under 6 different streams, and the MD course at MIMER is provided under 11 different streams. The total intake in the PG course at MIMER Pune is 35.

Recently I have completed MBBS from this college and I got admission via entrance examinations. For any UG course in medical candidates can appear for NEET entrance exam; NEET is all India level entrance examination which is conducted every year in the month of May. I appeared for NEET entrance exam and on the basis of score/marks I got shortlisted for admission in this college. In addition to this it is mandatory that student must have passed 12th with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks. Fees structure for courses and the course curriculum is very flexible.

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research offers MBBS course and the admission is offered through entrance examinations. 85% seats are offered through government quota; fee structure via government quota is feasible, INR 84, 0290 for complete 5 years of MBBS course for general category students. Candidates must appear for NEET entrance exam and must secure valid score as per the cut off marks. NEET application form can be filled online and the application fee for general/OBC is 1,500. Eligibility for admission is that student must have completed 10+2 with min 50% aggregate marks with PCB as the compulsory subject from a recognised board.

For MBBS admission at Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research, you should attain a valid score in NEET entrance examination conducted in the month of March every year. The basic admission criteria set by the institute for admission is written test and counseling. 

Can i get admission in this college , for mbbs??.. Then what will be the fees structure ??

  • Admission at Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research for MBBS admission are minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 along with a valid score in NEET entrance examination. 
  • Fee structure for the course is approximately INR 2950000/- for the entire course.

Hi Musumi,

The Eligibility required and the important exam required for the course is NEET and here is the information for it: 

The Eligibility is:

  • For the J&K/AP/Telangana: these aspirants are eligible for All India 15% quota only
  • And in the qualifying exam (PCB group) the aspirants should have obtained at least 50% marks for general.
  • And 45% marks for general-PH 
  • And for the SC/ST & OBC the percentage required is 40% marks.

The Application Fee:

  • The aspirants have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1400
  • And the fee payment can be made through online mode (debit or credit card).

Important dates for NEET:

  • The Exam is conducted by 6th May 2018
  • The Declaration of Result is on 1st Week of June
  • And the 1st round of Counselling for All India Quota Deemed + CI is 12th June – 24th June, and for State Counselling is on 25th June.
  • The Last date of Joining is from 3rd July, for State Counselling is from 12th July
  • And the Last date for filling the application on 9th March 2018
  • Last date to submit the application fee on 10th March 2018
