Maha Barathi Engineering College (MBEC) was started under the aegis of Maha Barathi Education Trust in the year 2008. It is a private engineering college under Anna University. MBEC campus locates on the National Highway NH-79, in Salem, Villupuram, state of Tamil Nadu. The college environment is immensely filled with greenery, which provides students with the benefit of maintaining a productive lifestyle. The AICTE approves MBEC, and it is affiliated with Anna University (AU), Chennai. The target of the college is to give the graduates exposure to numerous kinds of problem-solving techniques and impromptu situations.

  • MBEC offers admission in undergraduate program Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and postgraduate program of Master of Engineering (M.E)
  • Admission at MBEC is based on the TNEA Counselling/TANCET entrance exam and its merit. To apply for admissions, students must full fill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the college.

MBEC provides admission in the UG program BE/ B.Tech. Five specializations are available in BE: Civil, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, and Electronics and Communications.

  • Getting admission in the B.E/ B. Tech program at MBEC depends on TNEA Merit Rank. Anna University releases the merit list based on 10+2 Marks.
  • Students who have achieved at least 50% marks in 10+2 PCM subjects or equivalent are eligible to apply for admission.
  • First, students must register for TNEA Counselling which is based on their 12th score. Later on, Anna University publishes the TNEA Merit list.

Students are required to have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+12 PCM subjects or equivalent to be eligible for admission in the BE program at MBEC.

 

Selection is made based on TNEA merit list rank and counselling.

M.E/ M. Tech qualification at MBEC is available in two domains: Computer Science Engineering and Structural Engineering.

  • B.E/ B. Tech graduates who have secured more than 50% marks can seek admission to M.E/ M. Tech at MBEC.
  • In addition to this, they must also clear the state-level entrance exam that is TANCET. Anna University will conduct the TANCET.
  • Thus, students are advised to register themselves for the entrance exam of TANCET and perform well in equivalence to the minimum cut-off criteria set by MBEC.

Admission to the BE and ME programs will be made according to the guidelines specified by Anna University. At first, students have to register themselves online for the respective entrance exams by logging into the official website. (TNEA or TANCET)

  • Go on the homepage of the website and click on apply now link
  • Register by entering the required details and once the registration process is done, you will receive the login credentials.
  • Using those login credentials fill in the TNEA application form.
  • Mention all the required details precisely in the form.
  • Do the payment of application fees online and the application fees cost is approx. 500/-
  • Take a screenshot of the page after completing the application process.
  • Then submit the application form at the desired time.
