KJ Somaiya Medical college offers MBBS courses for five academic years and 1-year compulsory internships. The MBBS degree is provided to the students as per the Medical Council of India guidelines. The students seeking admission to the MBBS course at KJSMC Mumbai will have to pass 10+2 in the science stream and clear the NEET entrance exam. The MBBS seats are divided into Management quota, Government quota and NRI quota students based on merit. Out of 50 seats, 42 seats are reserved under Government Quota. KJ Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre is a private institution which offers UG (MBBS) course, admission into which is offered on the basis of score in NEET entrance examination, valid score as per the cut off marks is mandatory. Cut off marks of NEET UG in 2019 was 701-134. Candidates can fill the application form online through NEET official website and can pay fees online via e-wallet, credit/debit or net banking. Application fee for general/OBC is INR 1,500 and INR 800 for SC/ST students. It is also mandatory that candidates must have completed 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate marks with PCB as the compulsory subject from a recognised board.
Recently I completed MBBS from this college and had a very great experience. For admission basic requirement is that, student must have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry, biology and English as the compulsory subject from a recognised with at least 50% aggregate marks. Final selection for admission is made on the basis of score in entrance examinations. For UG courses like MBBS candidates can appear for NEET entrance examination which is conducted online every year in the month of May. NEET is all India level entrance examination which is conducted online every year and candidates can fill the online application form in 1st week of February. Fees structure for course is feasible.
