Admission in Kaziranga University 2025: Date, Cutoff, Eligibility

Kaziranga University is one of the biggest private educational institutions in North-East India. The University was established in 2012 by the North Eastern Knowledge Foundation. As far as academics are concerned, the University has been ranked among the top 10 colleges in the North-east India region. The University holds recognition from UGC, AICTE, and PCI.

The University offers several popular programs in engineering, management, social science, health science, arts, science, computer application, etc. Kaziranga University Admission Process to most of these courses requires valid merit in the previous qualifying examinations. In contrast, some may need an entrance exam like GATE/ CAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ JEE MAINS. If students have not attempted the entrance test, they are supposed to appear for the Kaziranga University Entrance Exam, known as KUEST.

Kaziranga University B. Tech Admission

Admission to the B. Tech courses is based on an entrance test and academic merit. Therefore, passing the class 10+2 examination with Physics & Mathematics as obligatory subjects, along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology, is essential. Even in these subjects, the passing criteria will be 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ ST students). Lastly, the University will prioritize students who have taken the National Level Admission Tests, such as Jee Main. If students have not attempted JEE Main, they are required to take up the KUEST conducted at the university level.

Kaziranga University BBA and B Com Admission

The BBA in Kaziranga University is a full-time 3-year program that requires passing class 10+2 exams from approved boards in Commerce streams. The admission criteria mandate getting at least 50% aggregate marks in these equivalent exams, as admission will only be granted based on merit in 10+2.

For admission to Kaziranga University, B. Com, applicants must have passed HSC/ Pre-University/ Class 10+2 exams from approved boards with more than 50% aggregate marks (No marks relaxation for SC/ ST students in the B. Com course). Although there is no Kaziranga University admission test for BBA and B Com, the University will only analyze applicants based on their academic performance in 12^th.

Kaziranga University B. Sc Admission

The Kaziranga’s component department, the School of Medical Sciences, offers  B. Sc courses for students who have passed HSC exams with science streams. Furthermore, in the qualifying class 10+2 exams, aspirants must score at least 50% aggregate marks in the best 5 subjects. In contrast, those belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) must score more than 45% aggregate marks. Lastly, the University will only consider merit from those boards that have been nationally approved. Any valid entrance exam taken by the applicant, such as NEET, CUET, etc., will add to the benefit of the student during Kaziranga University selection criteria.

Kaziranga University provides admission to the full-time, 3-year BA program in the specialization of Sociology. For admission, interested students must try to secure more than 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying HSC exams. A relaxation of 5% marks will be given to applicants from the reserved categories like SC/ST. Although the full-time BA program is open to students from all the streams (Science/ Arts/ Commerce), the University will prioritize candidates from the Arts backgrounds, given their academic learning. Kaziranga University M. Tech Admission

Kaziranga University offers admission to M. Tech programs that are highly popular among engineering graduates. These M. Tech courses are provided along with specializations like

The University offers a relaxation of 5% marks to the students from reserved categories.

Kaziranga University M. Sc Admission

Candidates seeking admission to the M. Sc course must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree exams. Students from reserved categories (SC/ST) will be allowed to apply for admission with 45% aggregate marks. The Bachelor’s degree shall preferably be a B. Sc degree in the relevant field and must have been obtained from a UGC Approved University.

Kaziranga University MBA Admission

For admission to the MBA in Kaziranga University, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a UGC-recognized University. In addition, the qualifying exams for Graduation must be passed with at least 50% aggregate marks, whereas students from SC/ST categories shall secure 45% aggregate marks.

Kaziranga University offers admission to several full-time PG courses like MCA, M. Opt, MSW, and MPT. Candidates wishing to be admitted to these programs must secure more than 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Bachelor’s degree exams. In addition, these graduation degrees must be obtained from UGC-approved educational institutions only.

Kaziranga University Application Process

There are 3 ways to get admitted to desirable courses at Kaziranga University. All of these gateways, along with the required steps, are detailed below.

Online Pathway-

1. Interested students may access the online application form by logging into the Kaziranga University student portal.
2. After accessing the form, they may fill out all the necessary fields like scores from the mandated entrance exams, marks obtained in the last qualifying examinations, etc.
3. Moreover, the website may prompt applicants to attach self-attested scanned copies of important academic and professional documents like certificates, LORs, mark sheets, scorecards, etc.
4. Apart from these papers, the University may ask for valid contact documents like aadhar cards, PAN cards, and passport-size photographs for student verification.
5. Lastly, the student has to pay the requisite amount of Kaziranga University application fees, Rs. 500. Via online gateways like NET BANKING/ UPI/ DEBIT CARD. This registration fee will be non-refundable under all circumstances. Therefore, obtain the confirmation page properly after registering.

Offline Mode Via Post-

1. Applicants may make a valid DD in favor of the University’s registrar and write down the contact details at the back. Now, post it to Kaziranga University’s main campus.
2. After receiving the DD, the University will send a Kaziranga University prospectus along with the application form through post to the student’s address.
