K Ramakrishnan College of Engineering was established in 2008 at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. KRCE is affiliated with Anna University and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. KRCE offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering Technology and Management. The college currently offers B Tech at the UG level and ME/M Tech at the PG level.

KRCE offers a full-time on-campus Bachelors in Engineering(BE) course under four different specializations, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.

KRCE also provides Bachelors in Technology (B.Tech) courses under three different disciplines, Artificial intelligence and Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Systems, and Embedded systems

  • Candidates seeking admission in BE/B Tech courses have to register themselves in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling.
  • Admission would be based on the rank achieved by candidates in TNEA counselling. To be eligible to apply in BE/B Tech Courses at KRCE, candidates must have passed 10+2 from any recognized board of education where Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics must be the Compulsory subject.
  • In addition, candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregation. 5% of relaxation in aggregate marks will be provided to candidates belonging to the reserved category.

KRCE provides a full-time Masters in engineering course under four specializations, Computer systems, Engineering Designs, Power System Engineering, and Computer Science and engineering.
The timeline of the ME course at KRCE is of 2 years and four semesters.

  • Candidates aspiring to take admission to the ME/M Tech course at Ramakrishnan College must undertake an entrance exam conducted by Anna University, TANCET.
  • Candidates are also required to have BE or B.Tech degree in a relevant stream from any recognized university.
  • Candidates must have achieved a minimum of 45% marks in aggregation. In addition, 5% of the reduction will be given to candidates belonging to the reserved category.

KRCE also provides a full-time on-campus MBA course in the field of Management studies. Candidates seeking admission in MBA courses at KRCE have to undertake the national level entrance exam CMAT or university-based entrance exam TANCET, conducted by Anna University.

  • Candidates must have bachelor's or 10+2+3 equivalent degrees in any stream from any recognized university with 45% marks in aggregation.
  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category must have a minimum of 40% marks in aggregation.
  • The total intake of students in the MBA program at KRCE is 60. The admission is based on TANCA counselling.

KRCE is an autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. The college has an ISO certification and is AICTE-approved. The college has a NAAC accreditation for an "A" grade. K Ramakrishnan College Trichy eligibility for B.Tech requires candidates to have passed 10+2 exams in the science stream with a least of 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved categories) from a recognized board.
