Joginpally BR Engineering Institution is a Telangana State engineering college affiliated with JNTU, Hyderabad. It is located in Yenkapally. The college, often known as JBREC, offers a B.Tech undergraduate program and M.Tech and MBA postgraduate programs. The AICTE has approved all of its courses.

  • Admission to the college is determined by state-level entrance exams and a web-based counselling process administered by relevant authorities.

JBREC B.Tech Admission

JBREC (Joginpally BR Engineering College) offers a four-year B. Tech degree program in five specialties. Applicants' EAMCET results are used to determine admission. In addition, candidates who pass the entrance exam will be offered admission using a web-based counselling system.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates who have passed or are scheduled to sit for class 12 exams and have Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology as optional subjects or enrolled in Engineering and Technology vocational courses are considered eligible. In class 12 or equivalent exams, a minimum of 45 percent is required, with reserved category students needing 40 percent.
  • Candidates who have passed or are currently enrolled in the last year of a diploma in engineering or any other similar test are eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

  • 70% of B.Tech seats are filled through state quota, while the remaining 30% are filled through institute level counselling.
  • For the state/Convenor quota, candidates have to apply through  TS EAMCET Counselling based on their rank seat will be allotted.
  • For Management Quota, selection of the candidates will be done as per the norms specified by Telangana Government.

JBREC M.Tech Admission

The college provides M.Tech degrees in four areas at the postgraduate level. In addition, candidates with GATE or TS PGECET scores are eligible for web-based counselling admissions.

  • For GATE and PGECET candidates, there is a distinct counselling method.
  • Candidates in the general category must have received a minimum of 50% in their bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in a relevant discipline. In contrast, those in the reserved category must have received a minimum of 45 percent.
  • The Osmania University administers the TS PGECET on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), whereas the IITs jointly assist GATE.

JBREC MBA Admission

MBA is also available as a postgraduate course at the college. Admissions are made solely based on a candidate's performance on the TS ICET.

  • Candidates should have graduated from a UGC-accredited university with a bachelor's degree in any subject.
  • They must have scored at least 50% on the qualifying test (with a 5% relaxation for reserved candidates).

JBREC Application Process

  • Candidates who wish to be considered for admission to the college under the state quota should take the following steps:
  • To be eligible for state-level counselling, candidates must have passed the required entry tests.
  • The EAMCET, PGECET, and ICET application forms are available in an online format on the websites of the relevant authorities.

Certificate Verification: After the formal announcement of counselling, candidates must come for certificate verification as scheduled at any Help Line Centers. Payment over the internet

Candidates must pay the counselling processing/registration cost for each course separately via online means - Debit Card/Credit Card or Net Banking.

Web-based Counseling: Candidates must fill out a web-based counselling form and then lock in their institution selection.

  • Candidates must grab a printout of their allotment letter and come to the college for final admission once the final allotment has been completed.
  • The application form for the Management Quota Application Process B.Tech course can be downloaded from the college's website.
  • Payment of INR 2000 must be made by DD drawn in Hyderabad in favor of "Principal JBREC and Principal BEC."

The phase I went through for B.Tech to enter this institute is like first clearing the entrance test EAMCET. We'll have to wait for the results to arrive after the entrance exam is done. Once the results are released we will be directed for filling the application form for counselling. Documents will be verified then the engineering seat will be allotted according to our option filling and our college priority. I had to create the ID as well as password for the option filling round because that is web process. Joginpally B.R. Engineering College admission fee was 75,000 rupees initially which was also considered as the first year academic fees.
