JIS University was started in 2014 and is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The university is approved under AICTE; AICTE recognizes AIU. The university was started with the aim of imparting proficient technical education to aspirants. JIS University courses offered at Undergraduate level are BE/B Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc., B.Ed. and PG degree in ME/M Tech, MBA, M.Sc. and also offers integrated courses in BBA+MBA, B.Ed. +M. Ed., BBA+LLB, B.Sc. +M.Sc. and M.Sc.+Ph.D. in several specializations, and it also offers a diploma course.

Minimum Criteria to get JIS University course admissions: students must be qualified in the 10+2 exam with minimum aggregate marks, and for PG Courses, candidates must be qualified in a bachelor's degree with required average marks to get eligible for admission

• Candidates must appear for the JET Entrance Test or Computer admission test, which the university will conduct to qualify for admission.
• Candidates who are looking to gain admission to the LLB Course must be qualified with a UG degree with 45% marks or more in any stream, and the Selection of the candidates will be based on a valid JET Entrance Exam.
• Candidates who are looking to gain admission to the BBA+LLB Course must have a minimum of 45% 10+2 exam with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in any stream.  

JIS University BE/B Tech Admission Process

The JIS University B-Tech admission is in 3 specializations for 4 years. They must be qualified in the 10+2 exam with minimum average marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Math Subjects, and candidates must appear for an entrance exam known as PET, which the university will organize. The exams will be conducted in May. Qualified candidates with the JIS University cut-off must appear for counseling with the required educational docs.  

JIS University B.Sc. Admission Process

The university offers An undergraduate course, B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Management, for 3 years. Candidates must be qualified in the 10+2 exam with minimum aggregate marks and must secure valid scores in the JET Entrance Exam, which the university will organize.

JIS University B.Pharm Admission Process

The university offers undergraduate courses in B.Pharm for 3 years. They must be qualified with 50% in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Seats based on the JET Entrance Exam Valid Score. The university will organize the exam.

JIS University B.Ed. Admission Process

University offers B.Ed. Course for 2 years. Students must be qualified with a bachelor's Degree or bachelor's Degree with the required 55% aggregate marks followed by a valid Score acquired in the JET Entrance Exam.

JIS University LLB & BBA LLB Admission Process

The university offers Law Courses in LLB & BBA LLB. Candidates who are looking to gain admission to the LLB Course must be qualified with a UG degree with 45% or more aggregate marks in any stream, and the Selection of the candidates will be based on a valid JET Entrance Exam. Candidates who are looking to gain admission to the BBA+LLB Course must be qualified in the 10+2 Board Exam with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks followed by the JET Valid Score.

JIS University B.Ed. + M.Ed. and BBA+MBA Admission Process

Candidates who are looking to get admission for B.Ed.+M.Ed. The course must be qualified in Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a minimum 55% aggregate marks in degree level and 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 level. Selections will be based on the valid score acquired in JET Entrance Exam.

Candidates who are looking to get admission for the integrated course BBA+MBA must be qualified in the 10+2 exam with 45% aggregate marks in any stream and must appear for the JET Entrance Exam, which the university will organize. JIS University admissions will be granted based on merit in the qualified Exam and Entrance Exam.

JIS University B.Sc. +M.Sc. Admission Process

Candidates who are looking to get admission for the integrated course B.Sc. + M.Sc. must be qualified in the 10+2 exam with 50% aggregate marks in the science stream and must appear for the JET Entrance Exam, which the university will organize. Seats are given based on the score obtained in the entrance exam.

JIS University ME/M Tech Admission Process

The university offers a postgraduate course in ME/M Tech in 3 specializations for 2 years. They must be qualified with a bachelor's Degree in BE/B Tech with average marks. Seats will be based on the valid score acquired in the JET Entrance Exam, which the university will organize.

JIS University MBA Admission Process

University offers an Integrated Course M.Sc. + Ph.D. in Geology for 5 years. Candidates must be qualified for a bachelor's degree B.Sc. with required aggregate marks. The selection of the candidates will be based on the valid score acquired in the JET Entrance Exam, which the university will conduct.

JIS University Application Process

Applicants can get the application form from the university's official site. Candidates must fill out the required educational details, attach relevant educational documents, and submit them. Application fees can be paid through Card or Net Banking.

After the Submission of Application forms, shortlisted students must appear for the computer-based admission test/Entrance exam, which the university will organize, and candidates can take the admission based on the entrance exam score and aggregate marks obtained in the qualified Examination. JIS University Scholarship Details

• Merit scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Indian Government. Candidates who have secured valid scores in qualified examinations are eligible to apply for a scholarship to get relaxation in JIS University fees.
• Oasis (Online Application for scholarship in studies) is provided for backward categories by the welfare department of West Bengal.
