JUET B.Tech eligibility criteria

B Tech admission seekers who are aspiring to secure B Tech admission in Jaypee University's Engg & Tech must satisfy the given eligibility criteria.

  • The candidates must have finished their 10+2 from any recognized board of education.
  • The compulsory subjects at 10th+2 level should be Mathematics and physics, chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology or any technical or vocational courses.
  • The candidates are required to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregation. (5% concession in aggregate marks applicable for SC/ST/OBC Categories)
  • If the candidates took a gap after the intermediate exam, they have to Gap Period affidavit available at the university website.

JUET B.Tech selection criteria

The admission in the B.Tech course and JUET is offered under 2 different modes. That is admission through JEE Score and based on academic merit.

  • The evaluation of the candidates for the B.Tech admission at JUET will be done based on their performance in the last qualifying academic exam or the entrance exam.
  • At JUET, 50% of seats will be filled based on JEE Main rank, and the remaining 50% seats will be allotted based on a 10+2 merit rank.
  • Candidates are required to upload their JEE Main Score Card during the JUET application process.
  • The selection criteria for B Tech in JUET depends on JEE Score/10+2 merit followed by counselling. Through counselling phases, final seat allocation takes place.
  • JUET B Tech Merit List will be prepared separately for JEE main qualifiers and the students applying based on their 10+2 results.

JUET B Tech Application Process

Online mode

  • The mode of the JUET application form filling process is online as well as offline.
  • For the online mode, candidates can fill up the application form by going through the website of Jaypee University.
  • The candidates should fill up the application form by mentioning all the required details carefully.
  • After successfully filling the form, candidates must submit the application form by paying the application fees.
  • The application fee for the B.Tech program at JUET is rs. 1200.
  • The applicants can pay the application fees through the different modes of payment provided on the JUET website.

Offline mode

  • To apply for the B.Tech program under the offline mode, candidates can collect the JUET offline application form at the admission department. The form will be available at any campus of JUET.
  • Candidates can also obtain the application form by post by sending a demand draft of Rs. 1200 to the Admission Cell, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, A-10, Sector-62, Noida, U. P.

JUET offers an M.Tech program in the field of Engineering and Technology. M Tech at JUET is available in 6 different disciplines. The total intake of candidates in the M.Tech program at JUET is 45.

  • To be eligible for M Tech admission in JUET, applicants must have completed their B.E. or B.Tech degree.
  • In addition, candidates should have appeared in the entrance exam GATE or JIIT PGCET.

In addition to the UG & PG courses, JUET offers admission to the PhD degree courses in the field of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.

  • To apply for PhD admission in JUET, candidates should have completed their M.Tech course from any university recognized by the UGC, AIU, or AICTE. The degree must have been issued in the relevant stream.
  • The candidates who have completed their master's degree in Science, Humanities, and Social Science are also eligible to apply in the PhD course at JUET.
  • Candidates should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregation or a CGPA not less than 5.5 on the scale of 10.
  • The admission in the PhD program at JUET is done through 2 different modes.
  1. The candidates applying through GATE/NET/SLET /UGC /CSIR (JRF) - The candidates who have qualified for any of the following exams can apply to the program. The candidates have to further appear in the interview round conducted by the institute.
  2. The candidates who didn't qualify for any national-level common entrance examination will have to appear in the written test conducted by the JUET. The candidates shortlisted in the written examination will be required to appear in the interview round conducted by the JUET administration.

The B.Tech program at JUET requires candidates to have passed their 10+2 exams with an aggregate of 50% for the general category (45% for reserved categories). Jaypee University admission process for B Tech is based on 50% of seats through JEE Main All India Rank and the remaining 50% through 10+2 marks and merit. Candidates must submit their JEE Main scores online, and based on the scores, they will be called for counseling. The Jaypee University cutoff JEE mains range from 79219 to 136648.
