Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) is a well-known state university that was started in 2005 by J & K State Government in Pulwama of J & K. The University is offering various programs in the stream of engineering, science, arts, management, etc. at UG, PG, and Research level. The programs offered are B.Tech, BBA, B.Sc., AFM, BA, MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc., NA, and Ph.D. with several specializations.

  • The University is accepting Admission to the B.Tech program is based on JEE Main score.
  • Students with a valid score in the GATE exam or entrance test held by the University will be selected for admission to the M.Tech program.
  • Students will have to qualify for the UG MAT exam to get admission to the BBA program.
  • The students will have to pay the application fee through online mode only.
  • MBA admission will be based on the marks obtained in CMAT or MAT exam or University’s MAT test, followed by GD & PI.
  • The University is conducting entrance exams for all the programs offered in the University except MBA and Regular B.Tech program.
  • The students who have cleared CMAT will have to attend GD based on current global affairs followed by PI.

IUST B.Tech Admissions:

The engineering program is offered at the undergraduate level for the students with basic eligibility of 10+2 or equivalent with PCM subjects from a well-recognized board. The B.Tech program is provided for four years with eight semesters with six specializations for the students to choose from. The students will be selected for admission to the B.Tech program based on the marks obtained in JEE prominent and merit in the qualifying exam.

IUST UG Admissions:

The university offers other bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Arts, and Science such as BBA, BA Hons, and M.Sc. The students applying for a bachelor’s degree will have to pass their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. The selection process in the University for Bachelor’s degree program will be based on the marks obtained in UG MAT for BBA and University’s Entrance exam for other programs.

IUST MBA Admissions:

The University also offers the MBA program for two years. General MBA and International Business is the option available for the students to choose from. The students with basic eligibility of Bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum marks will be eligible to apply for the program. The selection process in the University for MBA program is based on the marks obtained in the CMAT exam followed by the Group Discussion round and personal interview round.

IUST M.Tech Admissions:

The university offers an engineering program at the master level with one specialization in Food Technology for two years. The students with basic eligibility of Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology will be eligible to apply for the M.Tech program. The selection process for the program will be based on the marks obtained in University’s entrance exam or GATE exam.

IUST MCA Admissions:

The University is offering a Computer Application program at the master’s level. The basic eligibility required to apply for the MCA program is BCA or equivalent with minimum marks from a well-recognized university. The selection process for the MCA program is based on the performance in the entrance test that the university conducts.

IUST MA Admissions:

Master of Arts (MA) is offered by IUST with six specializations made available to choose from. The basic eligibility required by the students to apply for MA is a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with minimum marks. The university will select the students for admissions based on the performance in the entrance test by IUST.

IUST Application Process:

The students seeking admission to the University’s program will have to apply online to the official university website. Before applying, the students will have to ensure if he/she is eligible to apply for the desired program. The students will have to fill in the correct details and attach scanned copies of the Photograph, Signature, and other documents. The Application fee of INR 1000/- has to be paid through online mode only.

The B-Tech program at IUST offers different specializations, such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

B.Tech admissions in Islamic University of Science & Technology will be given based on candidates JEE Main (Paper-I) marks and previous qualifying exam marks. 60% preference is given to JEE Main score while 40% weightage for the qualifying examination. The minimum eligibility required is candidate’s class 12th in science stream cleared with minimum 50% aggregate.

Firstly, candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination with minimum marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and valid score in JEE Main will be eligible for B.Tech. To get Islamic University of Science & Technology admission, one should appear for the centralized counseling.
