Institute of Genetic Engineering was established in the academic year of 2003 and is located in Kolkata, West Bengal.   • At under graduate level, Institute of Genetic Engineering offers Bachelor of Science (B. Sc); Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of computer applications (BCA) programmes of three years duration.
  • Minimum eligibility required for admission into these UG courses is that, candidate must have completed 10+2 level examination in relevant discipline from a recognised board of education. Final selection for admission is made completely on the basis of merit in the qualifying examinations.
  • Institute of Genetic Engineering offers two years duration of Master of Science (M. Sc) course, under the specialization of Biotechnology, Genetics and Microbiology.
  • Candidates applying for the post graduate programs must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution with the minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Institute of Genetic Engineering also offers four years duration of Ph. D program in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.Aspirants seeking admission into Ph. D program must have done post-graduation in relevant discipline or equivalent from a recognised board or university.
