IEM, Kolkata B.Tech Admissions:
Undergraduate program of Engineering is provided for the students with six specializations for four years duration. Basic Eligibility for B.Tech program is 10+2 in Science Stream with minimum marks from recognized board. The selection process for B.Tech Admission will be based on JEE Main or IEM JEE or WBJEE score. The Institute even accepts lateral admission to B.Tech for Diploma students.

IEM, Kolkata BBA and BCA Admissions:
Business Administration and Computer Application programs are offered by the Institute at undergraduate level for three years duration. The basic eligibility for BBA program is 10th & 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks from recognized board with 50% marks and for BCA program is 10th and 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics or Computer Science or Stats or Business Maths or Computer Application from recognized board. The selection process for both programs will be based on IEM JEE exam score followed by Counseling.

The MBA program offered at the Institute is having affiliation to MAKAUT and PGDM program is having approval from AICTE. The programs are offered for two years with same seven specializations each. The basic eligibility required is Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks from recognized university along with valid score in CAT or IEM JEE or JEMAT for MBA and MAT for PGDM program. The selection process will be based on the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

The Institute also offers M.Sc. program with one specialization for two years duration. The basic eligibility required is graduation with 55% marks in Applied Physical Science or Computer Science or Mathematics along with valid score in PGET or JAMET or IEM JEE exam. The selection process will be based on the entrance exam score.

IEM application Forms are made available in the official website for each program offered in the Institute. The students will have to apply online by choosing the program and filling the application form with required information and also attaching the necessary documents. The will have to apply for the IEM JEE exam through the website itself. Once the application for exam is submitted, the students will be informed about the hall ticket and exam date.

IEM is affiliated with MAKAUT and approved by AICTE and NAAC. IEM ranks 151-200 in the 'Engineering' category by NIRF. For B. Tech, candidates must have at least 45% aggregate marks in Class 12 with PCM. IEM Kolkata course admissions include counseling done based on WBJEE or JEE Main scores. The cutoff for WBJEE ranged from 97486 to 470237 rank. Institute of Engineering and Management cutoff jee mains ranged from 290692 to 882280 rank. To apply, candidates can visit the MAKAUT website, select the desired program, fill in the application details accurately, pay the application fee online, and submit the form.
Best part of this institution is fees structure and the course curriculum. Fees structure is feasible in this college and also college offers scholarship to the students with good academic performance. My experience was excellent in this college. I joined this college for doing B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering. Admission took place on the basis of the scores I secured in JEE Mains exam. Students can also appear for WBJEE or IEM JEE entrance exam for admission. In addition to valid core in entrance college also ask for 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and maths as the compulsory subject and from the recognised board. Fees expenditure for my graduation was around 4.9 Lakhs.
I was very lucky to get Institute of Engineering and management admissions to study the B.Tech course because the admission in this institute is hardest part as we require very good academics. I wrote the WBJEE and secured ranking in 3000 so the seat was allotted to me in the information technology stream.
