Gauhati University Distance Education Entrance Exam

IDOL Gauhati University conducts an entrance exam for admission to the MSc in Information Technology (M.Sc. IT) program. The exam is a 100-mark objective test, which is divided into three sections:

• General Knowledge (40 questions)

Gauhati University Distance Education Admission Procedure

IDOL Gauhati offers two admission procedures. Candidates can opt for online admission or the Spot Admission method.

Gauhati University Spot Admission

For admission through the Spot Admission method, candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps:

• Visit any authorized Gauhati University Distance Education Study Centres or the main GUIDOL office.
• Purchase the application form for INR 50 from the UBI counter in the GUIDOL apex building or any of the GUIDOL study centres.
• Bring the original qualifying examination mark sheet or certificate, two passport-size pictures and the registration payments.

• Visit the University's official website.
• Navigate to the "student" link.
• Select the "self-Enrollment" tab.
• Fill in all the essential information and press the "submit" button.
• Make a copy of the application form.
• Bring a physical copy of the form and the necessary documentation to any study centres for verification.
• You can also send the hard copy of the application form, duly attested copies of the necessary documents, attested by a Gazetted Officer, and a demand draft for the required amount to GUIDOL by post on or before the deadline.
