The ICFAI University in West Tripura opened in 2004 and received approval from UGC, NCTE, and BCI. It offers different courses in subjects such as Arts, Science, Education, Engineering, Computers, Law, and Business. There is also provision for ICFAI University Tripura Distance Education options. It offers Distance MBA courses apart from Full-time courses.
To apply for admission, students can fill out an ICFAI Tripura Online Application on the main website. For undergraduate courses, they need to have passed the 10+2/HSC exam with at least 45% marks. Those applying for Master's programs must have completed their bachelor's degree in the relevant field. Admission to law courses (LLB & LLM) is through national/state/university level law entrance exams like LSAT or CLAT. For B.Tech courses, candidates are admitted through ITSAT/Tripura JEE/JEE Mains.

They have regular B.Tech in various streams like Electrical, Mechanical and so on. For this, they also offer lateral entry for diploma holders. For admission, students must pass their 10+2 exams with at least 45% marks (40% for ST, SC, and OBC students) in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Those awaiting their 10+2 results can also apply. You also need to clear the ITSAT /JEE (Main) or state government entrance exams. As soon as the admission process commences, the ICFAI University Entrance Exam Date will be available on the website.
Lateral Entry to B.Tech requires a 3-year diploma course. Students awaiting their original certificates will be provisionally admitted but need to fulfill minimum marks criteria. If the criteria aren't met by the deadline, your admission will be canceled.
During the selection process, they look at your school performance, any awards you received for sports or culture, and any other activities you're involved in. When you pay your fees, they check your original certificates and proof that you're from Tripura. Tripura students get a special chance to join, with at least 25% of spots set aside for them in each program. If some spots are still open after that, they offer them to students from other areas.
ICFAI Engineering Courses
ICFAI offers a variety of undergraduate courses in Arts, Science, Education, Computer Application, Law, and Business Administration. They also have integrated five-year courses in Computer Application and Law.
ICFAI University Tripura Law courses admission is through the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT). For other courses, admissions are based on merit, determined through interviews. For ICFAI University Tripura B.Ed, they need a Bachelor's/Master's degree with 55% marks, and for other courses, 45% marks in class 12th in any stream are required.

To apply, you need a graduation degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC). Final-year students can also apply but must provide their certificates later. If you don't meet the criteria by October 31st (Admission year), your admission will be canceled with a partial fee refund. The ICFAI University Tripura MBA Syllabus will be available on the website in PDF format.
Selection is based on merit & an interview. MBA applicants also take a special admission test. The interview checks your motivation and attitude. Tripura residents get special seats, at least 25% per course. Any leftover seats are given to others. Follow the guidelines carefully when filling out the application form.
At the postgraduate level, ICFAI offers Master's programs in Business Administration, Arts, Computer Applications, Law, Mathematics, and Library & Information Science. They also have PG Diploma courses in Yoga and Library Automation & Networking. Admission to all postgraduate courses is based on a merit list issued by the institute after interviews. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in the relevant disciplines are eligible to apply.
For admission to the Master's in Law (LLM) program, candidates need a valid ICFAI Law School Admission Test. Only those with a Bachelor's in Law and at least 55% marks are qualified to apply for LLM. There is a process known as ICFAI University Tripura Online Verification. Candidates are required to submit the documents online using the recommended format. Once the document verification process is done, seats will be allotted.
