The Institute is popularly known as IIET, established in 2002, Chennai. IIET runs under Indira educational & charitable trust, which also provides world-class education. The Institute offers courses at an affordable fee so that everyone gets an education. The academic curriculum is designed to cater to the present day's needs. The Institute offers three programs in the field of Engineering and Management. Admission for UG and PG course at IIET is made through TNEA or TNACET exam.

  • The Institute of IIET offers BE under UG level and ME, MBA under PG level.
  • Admission for BE course at IIET is made through TNEA counselling conducted by AU.
  • Admission for ME at IIET is made through TANCET exam scores. 
  • Admission for the MBA course at IIET is based on TANCET exam scores.
  • Students will be selected based on the counselling and entrance test conducted by the board.
  • AU will send a list of the selected candidates to the preferred colleges for the further application process.

Indira Institute of Engineering and Technology BE Admission 

The Institute of IIET offers BE course in six disciplines for four years. IIET also provides BE lateral courses for the students with eligible scores.

  • Eligibility for BE course at IIET, candidates must have scored 50% marks in the 10+2 exam with PCM as main subjects. 
  • Admission for BE at IIET is based on Merit and TNEA counselling conducted by AU.
  • Eligibility for BE lateral course at IIET, students must have passed diploma or B.Sc degree with Maths as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates who belong to OBC / SC / ST / BC-Muslim / OC / MBC-DNC must have scores 40% marks to apply. 
  • The General category must have scored 50% marks in the 10+2 exam to apply.

Indira Institute of Engineering and Technology ME Admission 

The Institute offers two years full-time ME course to eligible students. ME course at IIET offers four specializations with an intake of 18 students per year. 

  • Admission for the ME course at IIET is based on merit and TANCET examination scores.
  • Eligibility for ME course at IIET, candidates must have passed B. Tech or BE from a recognized board. 
  • Candidates of the SC / ST category must have scored 45% to get admission.

Indira Institute of Engineering and Technology MBA Admission 

IIET offers an MBA course for two years with an intake of 60 students per academic year. Eligible students with qualifying marks shall apply.

  • Eligibility for MBA course at IIET, applicants must have 50% marks in any undergraduate degree.
  • Admission for the MBA course at IIET is made through TANCET admission.

The institution offers multiple courses in B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA programs. I have done B.Tech in computer science engineering from this college with feasible fees structure. As per my experience fees structure for all courses is feasible. Admissions are entirely on the basis of entrance examinations like TNEA, TANCET etc. student must secure valid score as per the cut off marks in entrance exam in order to get seat in this college. Apart from this basic eligibility needed at the time of admission is that student must have completed 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate with PCM as the compulsory subject.
