Indira Gandhi University Rewari was established in 2013 under the Haryana Government Act. Indira Gandhi University Rewari   B.Ed. Admission

To be eligible for admission to the B.Ed in Indira Gandhi University, they should have obtained at least 50% marks in their Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities.

  • Or, applicants must have studied Engineering or Technology with at least 55% marks at the UG level.
  • However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Blind/Visually/Hearing Impaired and Differently Abled from Haryana, the minimum required marks are 47.5% for a Bachelor's and Master's Degree.
  • 52.25% in the case of a Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology.

Indira Gandhi University Rewari course admissions and counselling schedule for the B.Ed are divided into three phases.

  • Phase-I of the admission process allows candidates to apply to IGU-affiliated Colleges (Government/Government Aided Colleges of Education and SFS (Self-Financing Scheme) Colleges of Education. During this phase, candidates can also fill in their choices of colleges and courses online.
  • In addition, the category-wise  Indira Gandhi University B.Ed Results of merit applicants will be displayed on the university website.
  • Candidates who are allotted seats must verify their documents by the respective colleges and submit the required fees. The colleges will then report the admissions to the University by specified dates.
  • Phase II is for new applicants with late fees. The subsequent process, including online choice filling, merit list display, and seat allotment, follows a similar pattern to Phase-I.
  • Phase-III deals with counselling and admission for vacant/leftover seats in colleges of education. If seats remain vacant after Phase-I and II, the concerned colleges will display them on their websites.
  • After Phase III counselling, no further counselling will be conducted, and no admissions will be allowed.

The prospectus and counselling fees are INR 1000/- for General category candidates (625/- for SC/BC/Differently Disabled Person). Admission to various physical education courses B.P.Ed in Indira Gandhi University affiliated colleges/institutes will be made according to the instructions of the State Govt. of Haryana. Amongst the Indira Gandhi University PG Courses, MBA is the most sought-after one due to its industry relevance. Admission to the MBA in  Indira Gandhi University would be made through an entrance test administered by the associated University. Indira Gandhi University MCA Admission

To be admitted into the Master of Computer Applications program, a prospective student must take an Entrance Test. The program accepts up to 60 students. The final selection is based on the IGU Entrance Exam. Soon after the admission process commences, Indira Gandhi University Exam Date will be notified on the website.

There are two ways for candidates to qualify for acceptance into the MCA program.

To apply for the position, candidates must have a BCA or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (47.5% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only).

Individuals who have completed a B.Sc., B.Com., or BA degree in Mathematics at either the 10+2 level or graduation level are eligible to apply for the MCA program. However, if their degree did not include Mathematics, they must take a Bridge Course as per University norms. The minimum aggregate score in their qualifying examination is 50% (47.5% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only).

Indira Gandhi University B Pharm Admission

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of IGU has two programs: B. Pharmacy (4 years) and B. Pharmacy - 2nd Year (LEET) (3 years). The B. Pharmacy program can accommodate 60 students.

  • The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) manages admissions for both programs. They also set the eligibility criteria for both of the courses.
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 in science can apply for IGU B Pharm Courses.
  • In the case of the B Pharm Lateral Entry, candidates with a Diploma in Pharmacy are eligible to apply.
  • For the seat allotment process, students need to attend the counselling administrated by HSTES.

Indira Gandhi University B Tech Admission

IGU's Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers B.Tech. (C.S.E.) and B.Tech. CSE (Lateral Entry).

The B.Tech CSE program takes four years and has space for 60 students, while the B.Tech. CSE - 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry) program takes three years and has space for 12 students (including open seats). Indira Gandhi University Engineering admission is made per the guidelines stipulated by HSTES. In addition, applicants must take up the JEE Main Entrance Exam.

To be accepted into the B.Tech. (C.S.E.) program, applicants  shall have completed their 10+2 level exam from a recognized Board or University. They should have also studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with either Chemistry, Bio-Technology, or Biology/Technical Vocational subjects. Eligibility requires a minimum of 50% marks (47.5% for Haryana's SC/ST candidates) in the mentioned subjects.

Indira Gandhi University LLB Admission

The IGU's Department of Law has a three-year LL.B. program that can accommodate up to 80 students.

To apply for the LL.B. program, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized institution and achieve a minimum of 45% marks. Admission is based on Indira Gandhi University Entrance Exam. The test measures candidates' understanding and ability in relevant areas of law, and their performance on the test determines whether they are selected for the program.

Indira Gandhi University M.P.Ed Admission

To get into the M.P.Ed., applicants must take a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) administered by the Department of Physical Education at Indira Gandhi University. Indira Gandhi University M Com Admission

The Department of Commerce, M.Com offers two programs. (2-year) and M.Com. (Hons.) 5-year Integrated.

Admission to the M.Com. (2-year) is based on the internal entrance exam.. Candidates must have completed their B.Com. (Hons./Pass)/BBA or have a BA in Economics/Commerce/Marketing/Insurance as a subject with a minimum of 50% marks (47.5% for certain candidates). Applicants are manded to review the IGU Entrance Exam Syllabus.

The M.Com. (Hons.) 5-year Integrated program admission is based on Academic Merit. Indira Gandhi University BHMT Admission

IGU's Department of Hotel & Tourism Management provides a four-year BHMCT( Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology) program with an admission process based on Academic Merit and a maximum capacity of 60 students. Candidates who want to get admitted must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) with at least 50% marks in total from either the Board of School Education.

Indira Gandhi University Admission Guidelines

Specific eligibility conditions and regulations are in place in the admission process for  Indira Gandhi University courses:

  1. The minimum necessary marks for SC applicants will be 5% lower than those for general category candidates.
  2. Individuals who have already completed their graduation or post-graduation are not eligible for admission to the five-year integrated programs.
  3. It is not permitted for any applicant to pursue two regular courses simultaneously.
  4. The University reserves the right to withdraw from any program with prior notice.

Lastly, a relaxation of 10% is granted to Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families residing in the Kashmiri Valley in terms of the minimum eligibility cutoff percentage for general candidates seeking admission to any particular program, provided it is not less than 35%. Moreover, the requirement of a domicile certificate is waived for Kashmiri Migrants during the admission process.

Indira Gandhi University offers MA seats for those who have completed their graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum mark of 55%. For reserved candidates, 5% relaxation is given. However, no entrance exam is needed for admission.


How can I be qualified for LLB at IGU?

LLB is a 3 years program. Students are required to have completed a graduation degree from a recognized University to be eligible. Also, IGC will conduct an entrance exam to shortlist the students to get admission seats.
