Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur is one of the eight IITs with National Importance in 2008 in Jodhpur for offering multidisciplinary quality education. The Institute has offered Engineering and Science programs at UG & PG levels. IIT Jodhpur has been ranked as 25th Institute according to MHRDs 2016 ranking. The programs offered are B.Tech, M.Tech Dual Degree, M.Tech, M.Sc., and Ph.D. with several specializations.

  • The students will have to apply online through the IIT Jodhpur Official Website.
  • Admission to B.Tech program is through JEE Main and JEE Advanced, followed by Counseling.
  • Admission to M.Sc. program is made through the JAM exam, followed by Counseling conducted by IIT.

IIT Jodhpur B.Tech Admissions:

IIT Jodhpur is offering a B.Tech program with three specializations for four years. The students with minimum eligibility of 12th or equivalent in the applicable stream with 75% marks from a recognized board and JEE Main score can apply for the B.Tech program. The Final selection Merit List for B.Tech admissions will be prepared based on the merit in the qualifying and entrance exams, followed by the counseling round.

IIT Jodhpur M.Tech Admissions:

The students seeking admission to the M.Tech program will have to apply online through the IIT Jodhpur website, paying the application fee of INR 300/-. Basic eligibility required for qualifying for the M.Tech admission is Bachelor’s Degree in the applicable stream with 60% marks and a valid score in the GATE exam.

Students will have to hold a bachelor’s Degree in the applicable stream with 60% marks from any recognized university. The selection process for the program will be based on the GATE score. The Application form has to be applied online for the dual degree program through the IIT Jodhpur website.

Key Points:

  • The students with B.Tech from any IIT with more than 8 CGPA need not have a GATE score for applying to the M.Tech program.
  • Students applying for Bioscience & Bioengineering through M.Sc. degree must have more than 70% marks 7 CGPA or CPI.

IIT Jodhpur M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute has been offering an M.Sc. degree with three specializations for the students for two years. The students can apply for the program if they have a bachelor’s degree in the applicable stream with 55% marks and Mathematics at the 12th or equivalent level. The students will be selected for admissions based on JAM, followed by a counseling round.

The admission for the B.tech courses in computer science and engineering here will be given according to the entrance test as well as based on our academic performance of 12th. We must have either cleared JEE mains and advance to get seat in B.Tech. Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur admissions are actually difficult to get because they choose to give seat to students very keenly.

For B-Tech admissions, the institute will consider board exams along with JEE Advanced cut-off scores. IIT Jodhpur's cut-off for the B-Tech CSE stream is 2270 rank.
