Admission in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi 2025: Date, Cutoff, Eligibility

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, is a Public engineering Institute that began in 1961 to offer high-quality education. The Institute, also known as the National Importance Institute, offers B.Tech at UG, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc., and M.Des at the PG level, and Ph.D. at the research level with specializations in each program. The Institute also offers part-time programs in Ph.D. and M.Tech.

IIT Delhi B.Tech Admissions:

The IITD offers the B.Tech program with twelve specializations for a four-year duration. Students applying for the B.Tech program should hold 10+2 or equivalent with 75% marks or be in the Top 20 Percentile in the respective qualifying exam. The Admission B.Tech program's selection process depends on the score obtained in JEE Main, followed by the JEE Advanced exam. The Institute has seat relaxation for SC category students with 15%, ST category students with 7.5%, and Persons with Disabilities with 3% in all specializations.

IIT Delhi B.Tech Dual Degree Admissions:

The IITD offers a B.Tech Dual Degree program with Five specializations for five years. The students applying for the B.Tech Dual Degree program should hold 10+2 or equivalent with 75% marks or be in the Top 20 Percentile in the qualifying exam. The admissions B.Tech Dual Degree program's selection process depends on the score obtained in JEE Main, followed by the JEE Advanced exam. The IITD offers an M.Tech Integrated program with one specialization for five years. The admissions M.Tech Integrated program's selection process depends on the score obtained in the JEE Main, followed by the JEE Advanced exam. IIT Delhi M.Tech Admissions:

The Institute has offered an M.Tech program with 38 specializations or a two-year duration. Students will be delivered direct Admission to M.Tech if they have 75% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. along with a valid score on the GATE exam or through a written test and interview by the Institute for students with 60% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. with a GATE score.

The M.Tech program's Application Form can be filled out online and sent with a payment of INR 360 through DD and the application form to the Institute.

IIT Delhi M.Des Admissions:

The Institute has offered an M.Des program with one specialization for two years. Students will be directly admitted to M.Des if they have 75% marks in qualifying and a valid score in the CEED exam or through a written test and interview by the Institute for students with 60% marks in B.Tech or B.Arch with a GATE score.

Key Points:

• Reserved category students will be given 5% relaxation in the qualifying exam.
• Students who passed the qualifying exam with an 8 CGPA from any IIT need not have GAT or CEED scores.
• Students with AMIE or IETE qualifications and GATE or CEED scores can apply for the M.Tech program.

IIT Delhi M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute offers an M.Sc. program and an M.Sc. Dual Degree and an integrated M.Sc. program with several specializations. Students must have basic eligibility for a Bachelor's Degree, 55% marks in the applicable discipline, and a valid score on the JAM exam.

The M.Sc. application form can be filled out online by paying INR 600/-

IIT Delhi MBA Admissions:

The institute offers the MBA program with three specializations for students with basic eligibility of a bachelor's Degree in any stream, 60% marks from any recognized university, and a valid score in the CAT exam, followed by an interview round.

IIT Delhi PGD Admissions:

The Institute offers a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) program with two specializations for students with a bachelor's Degree in the applicable stream and minimum marks. Students are selected for Admission based on merit in the qualifying exam.

IIT Delhi MS by Research Admissions:

The Institute, with nine specializations, offers MS by Research. Students are called for applications in March every year. Students applying through direct mode must have basic eligibility of 75% marks in B.Tech or M.Sc. and a GATE score of more than 300. Admissions will also be provided for students who appear for a written test and an interview round conducted by the Institute for students who have passed B.Tech or M.Sc. with 60% marks and a GATE score of more than 300.

Note:

• Students with Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, M.Sc. Electronics & Communication, M.Sc. Operative Research, MA in Mathematics, or MCA will be offered an MS in Research in Computer Science & Engineering.
• Students with a valid score in the GATE exam will be eligible for Information Technology or Computer Science Engineering.
• Students with 8 CGPA qualifying exams from any IIT need not have a GATE exam score.
• Students from AMIE or IETE, along with GATE scores, can apply for the program.

IIT Delhi Ph.D. Admissions:

The students are offered full-time PhD programs with 23 specializations for those with necessary MD or M.Techeligibility  with 60% marks (or) MBBS or M.Sc. Or MBA or MA with 60% marks (or) B.Tech with 70% marks and the students will be selected for Admiadmissioned on GATE or NET or ICAR or ICMR score or DST INSPIRE Scholarship.

Note:

• Students with B.Tech, M.Sc., or MA with 80% marks need not appear for the entrance exam.
• Students from NIT, IIT, or IIIT with 70% marks in the qualifying exam need not appear for the entrance exam.
• Students with MBBS degrees will be treated as equivalent to M.Tech in case of financial assistance.
• MA in English students will be provided a relaxation of 5% for Admission to Humanities & Social Sciences.
