Candidates must fill out the application form through the University's official website or offline forms, depending on the University's guidelines.

  • Candidates must usually submit relevant educational documents, identification proof, and other supporting certificates as part of the application process.
  • Besides, Applicants must meet the specified eligibility criteria for the particular course they wish to pursue.
  • After processing the applications, the University will announce the merit results. Candidates who are selected will receive confirmation of their admission.

GNDU Distance Education BA/BBA / Bcom Admission

For admission to the BA, B Com or BBA programs in Amritsar, students must ensure they pass their 12th/HSC/Pre-University or any other university-recognized equivalent examination.

Although students from all streams will be allowed to apply for admission in the course, the University will prefer candidates who have a background in relevant subjects like English at this level. Those with a valid diploma can also apply for the same.

GNDU Distance Education BCA Admission

The eligibility criteria for the BCA program states that applicants should secure at least 40% aggregate marks in their class 12th/Pre-University/HSC examinations, and that too under-recognized boards only. Furthermore, the Bachelor's in Computer Application program is popular.

So, as additional layers of shortlisting, the University will prefer students with a background in technical subjects like computer applications, information technology, math, physics, chemistry, etc. Also, it is compulsory to pay the application fees in 2 instalments mentioned on the University's official website, failing which students will have to leave their seats, and they will be given to those waitlisted by the University.

GNDU Distance Education M. COM Admission

To secure admission to M. COM, students must obtain a valid B. COM or BBA degree from UGC Approved university, and that too with at least 50% aggregate marks. Also, the University provides 5% marks relaxation for students belonging to SC and ST categories.

GNDU Distance Education MA Admission

Since 2-year distance education MA is another sought-after course at the University, very stringent admission criteria have been placed for the admissions. Applicants are mandated to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in their BA degree exams, preferably in a similar discipline to which they are applying for master's, or they must obtain more than 45% aggregate marks in their equivalent subject examinations.

GNDU Distance Education Diploma Admission

To seek admission to Diploma in Computer Applications, students must score at least 45% aggregate marks in their HSC/Pre-University/Class 12th examinations. Also, the University offers a 5% mark relaxation for students in the reserved categories.

Guru Nanak Dev University Distance Education Application Process

  • Visit the University Website at https://online.gndu.ac.in/ or https://odl.gndu.ac.in/
  • Hover your mouse pointer over Admissions Tab/Menu and click on Open & Distance Admission.
  • You will be welcomed at the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning Homepage.
  • Now click "Click Here for New Registration", and you will be welcomed at Punjab College Admission Portal. 
  • If you have pursued your education at this University and have already registered, then, Select the first option, "Already Registered Student at University'' and fill in the required details. However, if you have just qualified/passed the 10+2 examination or have pursued your higher education from another University, select the "From other Board/University" option and accurately fill in the required details.
  • Students already registered with the University (qualified for the Graduate/Post Graduate Degree/Diploma/PG Diploma) will select the option "Already Registered Student".
  • After filling in your details and uploading your passport-size picture & signatures (in jpg format bearing file size of not more than 20kb). You will be transmitted to your registration page.
  • Click the "Open and Distance Learning Admission" tab on the left.
  • Enter your Login/Student ID and Password you just registered and click on the "Click here to submit" button.
  • Click the "Apply for Course" on the student page.
  • Select the course by clicking the "Select Course" tab and choose an option from the drop-down list. Similarly, choose the Learner Support Center by clicking "Select Learner Support Centre". After choosing the options, click on the "Add Course" tab.
  • The course(s) would be added to the "List of Courses Applied and Application Fee Status". Click on the "Pay Application Fee" tab to pay the fee.
  • The following window will open up. Choose the payment options from the left of your screen and fill in the details. Click on the "Make Payment" tab; you will be directed to a new window to complete the payment process.
  • Once the payment has been made, the "Payment Status" will change, and the transaction details will be exhibited in the "Payment Details" section. Click on the "Print Application Form" tab to print the same.

How can I get admission to the B-Tech program at GNDU CDE?

GNDU CDE does not offer a B-Tech program in distance mode. They offer only MBA, B.Com, MCA, PGDBM, and B.Lib.Sc.
