I have valid score in CAT and XAT in which I secured high marks in both the entrance exams. I applied for Great lakes Institute of Management, Chennai admissions to the PGDM course. Then the college actually fetched my marks of the entrance exam and notified me for the further process if eligible. I was like that shortlisted and they called me on phone asked me to come and appear for the personal interview. We also had a small essay writing for the admission only after seeing our performance in the personal interview. The final selection will be one based on the entrance exam score and academics.

Great Lakes does not admit the candidates under Management Quota or any reservation scheme. Applicants willing to secure admission in Great Lakes Chennai have to score well in the entrance test as per the Great Lakes Cut off criteria. It accepts the national level entrance tests such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT or equivalent. Suppose students who have not attempted any of the national entrance tests or secured lower than the cutoff scores have to undertake Great Lakes Aptitude Test (GREAT)

Similar to MBA, the institute provides PGDM for two years duration with various specializations available. The eligibility is that candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized institute with not less than 50% marks. Then aspirants need to have appeared for CMAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CAT. Based on the entrance exam score followed by counselling and interview, candidates are selected for admission to PGDM at GLIM. So, the XAT cut-off for PGDM is 90, and the CAT cut-off is 85, and the CMAT cut-off is 90.
