As the name suggests, the Government College of Engineering Dharmapuri is a public college located in Salem, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 2013 and is affiliated with Anna University, Tamil Nadu. The courses offered by the college are AICTE approved. Highly qualified and trained faculties never fail to deliver excellent quality education in the field of engineering.

  • Government College of Engineering offers the undergraduate course B. Tech only to its students.
  • There are five specializations under the B. Tech course that are provided by the Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri.
  • These specializations include Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering. 

Government College of Engineering Dharmapuri B Tech Admission
Government College of Engineering Dharmapuri offers only B. Tech as a UG-level to its candidates seeking admission to the institute. The annual intake for B Tech is 60 seats.

  • Admission to the B Tech at GCE Dharmapuri is based on TNEA rank followed by counselling.  
  • Candidates seeking admission must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in PCM subjects.
  • After the 12th results, students have to register for TNEA counselling based on their aggregate marks obtained in the 12th.
  • Later, Anna University will declare the TNEA Merit List. Students whose names are enlisted in the merit list can participate in the counselling session.
  • Then, the final seat allocation takes place based on choice filled and TNEA rank. As it is a public college, no direct admission is possible.

Admission to BE and B. Tech courses at GCE Dharmapuri is based on TNEA counselling and the guidelines prescribed by Anna University. Therefore, candidates should register on the official website to seek admission.

  • Browse through the official website of TNEA/ Anna University.
  • Click on “Apply Now” and register yourself.
  • Enter the necessary details in the application form, such as education details, contact information and other relevant details.
  • Pay the application form and submit it. The TNEA application fees cost INR 500/-

Upon successful payment, take the printout of the duly filled form and preserve it for future reference. It is an important document during the document verification procedure.

B-Tech admissions will depend on 10+2 with TNEA counseling results. Students must first apply for TNEA which is conducted online by registering through the official website.
