Though the institute is a private institute the admissions are not so easy candidates need to have at least minimum marks in previous education examination to seek Global Institute of Technology admissions either direct admissions or general admission. The total intake if seat per specialisation will be 60, there is 25% seats reserved for management quota students. As per the govt. norms there are seats reserved for category based students. So, Global Institute of Technology admissions to B.Tech for the required specialisation will be granted on basis of KCET score followed by counselling and interview. Applications need to collected from the college admission office and the fill it and submit the same for further process of admission.

To qualify for B-Tech admissions at DGIT, the applicants must have passed in 10th and 12th board exams followed by JEE Main scores. Selections will be based on JEE Main counseling results.

Students applying for the MBA at GITM must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% and a minimum of 45 percent for SC/ ST students. The KMAT or KPGCET entrance exams, as well as the Institute's counselling, are used to choose students for the MBA program.
