It is one of the tops and leading women's colleges, established in 1967. The college is affiliated with the University of Delhi and has recognitions from UGC, also accredited by NAAC ‘A’ grade. In 2020, the college was ranked 16th among India's colleges by the NIRF. This is a public college where admissions are not easy and are strictly merit-based.

  • The offered courses by Gargi College for bachelor’s degrees are B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.), BA, BA (Hons.), B.El.Ed., and BBE. Similarly, at the master’s degree level, there are MA and M.Sc. programs available in various disciplines.
  • At Gargi College, admissions are made through a Pre-qualification examination criteria basis for UG level courses and a merit-based or entrance examination basis for all PG courses. Based on college Cut-off marks, students will be shortlisted, and a merit list of Gargi College will be uploaded to the college's website.
  • Candidates securing at least 45% and above aggregate marks are eligible to apply for UG courses, and 50% marks in the subject concerned are required for candidates to qualify for admission to the relevant Honours Course. A minimum of 50-60% is necessary for applicants who graduated and applying for a master’s degree.
  • Eligible students should be present for Gargi College admission and the required documents. Only after the document verification process and payment of fees will students' seats for the desired course be confirmed.
  • Gargi College application forms are available on the official website of Delhi University, and eligible applicants need to register through a valid email or phone number, enter the required academic as well as personal details, scan and upload the photograph as well signature further by making the application fee payment as INR 250 can submit the form. The fee can be paid via Net Banking/ Debit/ Credit card.

Gargi College admission process for MA English

Admission to the MA in Gargi College is based on the student's performance in CUET PG. Applicants shall have obtained a UG degree in a similar discipline. Since the college is affiliated to Delhi University, the admission process is centralized. You need to complete the CSAS application form (Common Seat allocation system) by opening the centralized admission portal. 2nd phase of the admission process will start after the declaration of CUET PG results. Those applicants who clear CUET-PG with an appropriate score can upload their score and are important to prefer the colleges. By considering the CUET PG scores, a Gargi College CUET merit list will be published.

What is the cut-off accepted for B.Sc. admissions at Gargi College?

Gargi College accepts CUET for admission to the B.Sc. program. The cut-off score considered through CUET is 770, and it applies to all specializations.  

Is there a political Science specialization offered in the M.A. program at Gargi College?

Gargi College MA course admissions are available in Political science and English specializations. M.A. admissions are based on DUET exam scores.

The admission process to Gargi College will happen through CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System). Hence, the applicants must register for this process and select the preferred course and colleges. Later, the candidates will be shortlisted based on CUET exam scores.  

Can I admission to Gargi College without CUET scores?

The applicants must submit CUET-UG scores to secure admission to the Gargi College UG Courses. Thus, direct admission without an entrance test is impossible.
