Dr.S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (UICET) was established in 1958 in association with IIT Chicago. AICTE approves all the UG & PG programs offered by UICET. The college is located in Chandigarh, Punjab State. UICET intake 190 candidates for UG and 107 for PG every year. It mainly offers BE / B Tech courses at the UG level. College also provides M Tech and M.Sc. at PG level. Five-year integrated program BE+MBA is also available at UICET.

  • BE program in UICET Chandigarh is available in two streams. They are Chemical and Food Technology. Integrated program BE + MBA is available in the Chemical Engineering stream.
  • Applicants seeking to apply for BE or BE+MBA admission at UICET shall have passed in the 12th science stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. There will be a 5% of relaxation to the reserved category.
  • BE admission at the UICET Chandigarh will be offered based on JEE Main Score. Hence, admission seekers need to secure a qualifying score as per the UICET's cut-off requirement. Cut-off criteria vary every year and also differs for each course.
  • A two-year M Tech course at UICET is available in six streams. Candidates who hold a recognized bachelor's degree BE / B Tech in a related discipline with 60% marks are eligible to apply.
  • M Tech admission at the UICET Chandigarh will be provided based on the PUCET score followed by a Personal Interview. Candidates with valid GATE marks are also eligible to apply. GATE-Candidates will be exempted from PUCET. Only Non-GATE candidates have to sit for the exam.
  • For M Tech admission, the final selection will be made through a merit list. The admission authority will prepare the merit list by providing 50% weightage to a qualifying degree and 50% to PUCET or GATE.
  • Applicants seeking M.Sc. admission in UICET must have completed their bachelor's in B.Sc. with a minimum qualifying mark of 60%. Also, applicants are required to appear for PUCET Entrance Exam.
  • Applicants who get qualify in PUCET, required to participate in a Personal Interview session for the further selection process.
  • Admission seekers have to visit the official website of the college to apply online. Before filling UICET Chandigarh Online Application Form, you must register by entering JEE Main Roll Number, GATE Roll Number. This is applicable only for B Tech & M Tech aspirants.
  • Candidates have to make the payment at last to conclude the application process. UICET application fees can be paid through two ways Online or E-Challan.

 There is no B.Pharm program offered in this college. The academic courses offered in this college are BE, BE+MBA, M.Sc., ME, M-Tech, and Ph.D.

What are the M-Tech specializations offered in SSBUICET?

The ME program offered at SSBUICET is available in 3 specializations: Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Food Technology. The admissions will be based on GATE scores.

No, this is a public college, and direct admission at Dr.S.S. Bhatnagar University for B.Tech or any program is not accepted.
