The Institute is popularly known as MGRERU, established in the year 1988, located in Chennai. MGRERU's vision is to become superior in providing education in various categories. The college has a mission to provide the best quality with moral support. MGRERU prepared the students with practical training and knowledge to face the competitive world. It is deemed to be University that is approved by NBA and graded A by NAAC. The University offers UG, PG level course along with a research-level program. Admission for students is given based on entrance exam scores.

MGRERU B. Tech course Admission 

The Institute offers regular, lateral and part-time B. Tech course to eligible students. The duration for the normal course is four years, lateral and pert-time will be for three years.

  • B. Tech regular course at MGRERU is offered with 15 various disciplines, whereas part-time and lateral is being provided with six fields.
  • Eligibility for B. tech regular course at MGRERU, applicants must have passed 10+2 in PCMB / HSC or any equivalent exam with 50% marks.
  • Eligibility for B. Tech part-time and lateral course, candidates must have passed diploma in relevant field.
  • Admission for the B. Tech course at MGRERU is based on the entrance test conducted by the University.

MGRERU UG course Admission 

The Institute offers UG courses in various categories for eligible students. Candidates who have passed with suitable marks can apply.

  • The Institute offers a B.Arch course for five years.
  • Duration for BDS and B.Sc will be four years.
  • The duration of the BPT course will be four years and six months internship.
  • Duration for B.Sc, BBA, B.Com, and BCA will be three years.
  • The Institute offers an MBBS course for five years who have passed HSC with good marks.
  • Admission for UG courses will be based on the Merit and entrance exam conducted by the University.

 The Institute offers a PG program in M. Tech and M. Arch course for two years. In addition, M. Tech is being provided in the regular and part-time course.

  • Eligibility for M. Tech course at MGRERU, candidates must have passed B. Tech / BE with 50% marks.
  • Eligibility for M. Arch course at MGRERU, applicants must have passed B. Arch with 50% marks.
  • M. Tech course is also offered in the part-time course for one year.

  • Visit the admission section and click on Apply now option.
  • For applying online, candidates will have pay application for of RS 750/-.
  • To apply offline, applicants must download MGRERU application form and fill it manually.
  • For applying offline, students will have to pay Rs 850/- via DD addressing the college.
  • Submit the application form to MGRERU online or via post.

Interested students must have passed in 10+2 board exams with PCM subjects as mandatory. The selections will be followed with JEE Main or the entrance exam conducted by the institute itself.

B-Tech is a UG engineering program with 15 specializations, applicants with 10+2 scores in the science stream with a min of 50% marks can apply for admissions. Admission is done through the entrance test conducted by the University.

Students looking for B-Tech admissions at MGREC must have passed 10th and intermediate with a minimum of 60% marks. However, the selections are based on an entrance test conducted by the University itself.

Applicants willing to get B-Tech admissions must have passed 10+2 board exams in the science stream with a minimum of 50% marks. Selections will be based on academic merit and entrance exams.

Dr. MGR Engineering College course admissions for the B-Tech program are open for applicants who have secured min of 45% in 10th and 12th board exams in science streams like PCM subjects.
