The University of Kashmir founded the Directorate of Distance Education to deliver education across various disciplines through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) approach. This division has provided many academic courses and programs and engaged in various initiatives.

The Directorate finds its home in a multi-story building, replete with a well-equipped library, top-notch student support services, an audio-visual lab, a conference hall, adequately furnished classrooms, and a state-of-the-art computer lab boasting the latest advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources.

The University currently provides undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs in several disciplines. The qualifying examination results determine Admission to all Kashmir University Distance Courses. The admissions procedure is carried out every year from June to July. No study has an age restriction for enrollment.

Kashmir University Distance Education B.Ed Admission

The institution provides a two-year B.Ed course with a maximum enrollment capacity of 3600 students. The students must be bachelor's degree holders with a min of 45% average marks (40% for reserved category). The procedure for assessing is centralized. However, the Directorate is empowered to conduct internal assessment examinations, usually done after the contact program, constituting 20% of the course grade.

Preference may be given to candidates with teaching experience or those working in education. Selection is typically based on the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination; by compiling the scores of the bachelor's degree, the Kashmir University Distance Education B.Ed merit list will be prepared. Kashmir University Distance Education B.Ed Result

Kashmir University's Distance B.Ed Exam is conducted to assess the knowledge and understanding of students in their respective courses. These exams are held at the end of each semester to evaluate students' academic progress and performance.

After the exams, the answer sheets are evaluated by qualified examiners. The evaluation assesses the student's understanding of the subject matter, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Kashmir University Distance Education PG Admission

The University offers PG distance courses such as MA, MSc, and MCom. All the courses are of 2-year duration. The limit of applicants in each class is 200. A graduation degree is the primary qualifying requirement for Admission to PG programs. The total credits for the 4 semesters of the master's course is 96. Candidates are designated based on their qualifications and performance in the qualifying exam.

  • 70% of the seats will be reserved for candidates with education as one of the subjects in their Graduation.
  • The 30% of seats are reserved for candidates with a B.Ed. Degree.

Kashmir University Distance Education Diploma Admission

The University provides a range of diploma courses at the diploma level, each spanning one year, all of which can be pursued through distance learning. The intake capacity for these diploma courses is set at 100 students, except for the Diploma in Urdu Journalism (DUJ), which has a total of 30 students, and the Diploma in Cyber Law and PGD in Cyber Law and Professional Practices (DCLP) which can accommodate 50 students.

This diverse selection of diploma courses allows students to engage in focused learning experiences and gain specialized skills in various fields, contributing to their educational and career growth.

The minimum eligibility criterion is Graduation. Candidates are selected based on eligibility and merit in the qualifying examination (Graduation).

Suppose students are applying for DPPTT. Eligibility for Admission is extended to in-service teachers who have completed their 10+2/HSC with a minimum of 40% marks. Furthermore, applicants must have accumulated at least two years of uninterrupted service within a government or private educational institution that holds recognition from the government.

For Kashmir University Distance Education B.Ed., Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and an
average of at least 45% marks. Candidates from reserved categories can have a minimum of 40% marks. The B.Ed merit list is prepared by combining the scores of the bachelor's degree. Admission will be granted to candidates whose names appear on the merit list. Prospective students can fill out the application form online by logging into the website of Kashmir University DDE.

Hi, Admission to the University for Distance Education for B.Com is based on merit and should apply through online also candidate must undergo application process to fill the application form. Basic eligibility should be there like one must have cleared higher secondary school-II with minimum 45% aggregate.
