Central University of Jharkhand is a renowned university accredited with a grade of B by NAAC and has been UGC Approved. However, the university mainly offers only PG, Integrated, and Ph. D courses. Moreover, admission to most courses is based on the entrance exams. In contrast, others need only good merit from previous qualifying exams.

It accepts valid entrance exam scores such as CAT, JEE Main, CUET UG, and CUET PG. However, Central University of Jharkhand applications are accepted only via the online platform, along with payment of application fees. Central University of Jharkhand M. Tech Admission

Among the Central University of Jharkhand PG Courses, two-year M Tech is the flagship program available in five disciplines. Therefore, this Master's Degree is open to students from all the relevant streams. Applicants who satisfy the CUJ eligibility criteria can accordingly seek admission.

  • Students must obtain a bachelor's Degree, preferably a B. Tech or B. E. in a similar field of Master's and with at least 55% aggregate marks. In contrast, students with a relevant M. Sc degree can apply with more than 50% aggregate marks.
  • A UGC-approved educational institution must have given all the above Bachelor's degrees.
  • Eligible students will have to take the GATE exam, whereas those who do not sit for the same are mandated to take the CUET PG exam.
  • Final admissions will be based on the cut-off.

Central University of Jharkhand LLM Admission

As per the admission process for a full-time, 2-year-long LLM course, students must have obtained a full-time LLB degree from a UGC-approved university with at least 50% aggregate marks. Candidates can apply for admission either based on CUET PG or CLAT PG.

Among the UG courses, the most popular one is a full-time, 2-year-long B. Ed course. Candidates who have completed their graduation from a recognized university are eligible.

  • Although the relevance of their Bachelor's domain doesn't matter, they should have at least secured more than 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exams.
  • On the other hand, students with a category certificate, especially the non-creamy layers of OBC, ST, and SC, can apply with even 45% aggregate marks in graduation.
  • The university will shortlist students based on their performance on the CUET UG test, following which they will be invited for personal interviews.

Among the CUJ PG courses, the full-time 2-year MA is also popular with decent placement statistics. Students must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying Bachelor's degree exams and possess a B. Sc or BA from a UGC-approved university. According to the seat matrix, only 60 seats are available in full-time, 2-year-long M. Com courses. So, the admission criteria stay stringent accordingly.

  • Interested students must have graduated with a full-time B.Com degree from a UGC-approved university and with more than 50% aggregate marks.

The Central University of Jharkhand Ph. D Admission

The PhD is a full-time 5, years-long course that includes several disciplines per the UGC mandate. Therefore, interested students who wish to secure admission to this program must obtain a master's from a UGC-approved university with more than 45% aggregate marks. Students will also have to submit their thesis and take entrance exams.

  • Students must have passed their Master's degree exams from a UGC-approved university with at least 45% aggregate marks. The university allows a 5% mark exemption for students belonging to reserved categories.
  • Selected students must take the CUJ Entrance Exam, followed by personal interviews.

Central University of Jharkhand Integrated Courses Admission

They offer admission in full-time 5-year-long dual degree courses like BA + MA and B. Sc + M.Sc. and 6 6-year-long integrated B. Tech + M. Tech ones. The eligibility criteria for the same state are:

  1. Under a centrally approved board, students must have obtained over 45% aggregate marks in class 12th exams.
  2. The subjects studied at the high school level must be relevant to the domain being opted for in the integrated course.
  3. Students must also take the CUET UG exam, which the counseling rounds will follow. Finally, the university will release the Merit List by compiling the UG scores.
  4. Suppose candidates applying for admission to the B Tech integrated program (B Tech+M Tech) can apply based on JEE Main.
  5. Students in reserved categories will be given a 5% mark relaxation and certain need-based scholarships.

Students must first visit the official website and click on apply online.

  1. Select the programs you wish to secure admission in and fill out all the details in the form, including the personal, academic, and professional ones.
  2. Ensure you fill out the sections marked with an asterisk and provide complete and correct details only.
  3. After filling out the form, attach scanned copies of important documents that are also self-attested. It may include Aadhaar cards, photographs, scorecards of qualified exams, mark sheets, certificates, LORs, etc.
  4. Lastly, pay the application fees via any online channel, such as net banking and UPI, as the university will only process the form with the payment.
  5. Now, submit the form and download the provisional hall ticket for future reference.

Central University of Jharkhand fee structure for BCA is INR 15200 per annum. For three years, it will cost INR 45600.

Applicants can avail of M.Sc. admissions if they have a bachelor's degree in a relevant stream with a min of 45% marks. The selections will be based on academic merit and CUET PG scores. 

Can I get direct admission for an MBA at the Central University of Jharkhand?

CUOJ does not provide direct admissions for its UG and PG courses. The admissions are mainly based on CUET-PG entrance test scores and a good cut-off.
