BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMS&IT), Bangalore, was started in 2002 to provide Engineering and Computer Application programs. The programs offered at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels in the Institute are B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc. Engineering (by research) and Ph.D.

The students must have cleared the Senior Secondary School level to apply to undergraduate level programs. The selection process will be based on the Entrance exam score. The students must hold a bachelor’s degree from recognized universities to apply to Postgraduate level programs.

  • The Application form has to be duly filled out and submitted online.
  • K PGCET application Fee is INR 650/-
  • K PGCET is exempted for students having GATE scores.
  • Students can select one exam center for K PGCET, and the application form must be taken as a printout for further admission procedures.
  • MCA program’s Entrance exam will be held for 150 minutes.
  • Part A contains 60 questions, and Part B contains 20 in the K PGCET exam.
  • The entrance exam for M.Tech carries 100 marks.
  • PCM subjects carry 60 marks each in the KCET exam and no negative impacts for wrong answers.
  • KCET admit card to be downloaded from the official KCET website.
  • Distance mode MBA and MCA students are also eligible to apply for admissions.

The students are provided with two specializations in the M.Tech program for two years. The students must have B.Tech with 50% marks from any recognized university. The selection process will be based on the obtained GATE or KPGCET exam marks.

BMSIT&M, Bangalore MCA & M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute also offers a computer Application program at the postgraduate level for three years. The program needs primary education of B.Tech in applicable discipline with 50% marks from a recognized university. The selection process will be based on the marks obtained in the KPGCET exam, followed by the Personal Interview.

M.Sc. program is also offered by the Institute for the students with B.Tech in relevant stream with 60% marks from any recognized university. The students will be selected for admission based on the Entrance exam and interview performance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree is compulsory for admission to postgraduate programs.
  • The students will have to apply for admission through entrance exam scores.
  • Students seeking admission for the MCA program must have 50% marks in Statistics or mathematics, computer programming, computer science, business statistics, or computer applications.

BMSIT&M, Bangalore Ph.D. Admissions:

The Institute provides a Ph.D. program with a full-time and a part-time schedule. The candidates working and seeking to pursue research programs can apply for a part-time program. The students must have one year of experience as a faculty member after graduation from any Institute or University.

The students will have to fill out and submit the application form online through the Institute’s website by paying an application fee.

M.Tech with 6.75 CGPA from VTU or B.Tech from a recognized university
Entrance Test + Interview

FN, NRI, or PIO students can also apply for the Ph.D. program after completing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in English medium and must have appeared and qualified in ELTS or TOFEL.

  • Students in M.Sc. Engineering by Research or M.Tech has a chance to switch to a Ph.D. program.

Note: The students who completed the three-semester syllabus with at least 70% aggregate marks, or 7.75 CGPA, are eligible to update to M.Tech + Ph.D. Integrated program if the committee of admission agrees.

The rank I had got in the KCET is 3000, so I got a seat in this college through the counseling conducted commonly in the state. The KCET or COMEDK either does BMS Institute of Technology and Management admissions, or even JEE prominent marks will be considered.

I have taken admission by the KCET, whereas we can even take admission through the COMEDK or any other like JEE main. I had secured 3000 rankings, and as per my ranking, I had put my preferences in the counseling process. I got BMS Institute of Technology and Management admissions for the B.E course.
