How is the Exam Conducted for the BITS Online MBA Program?
In each of the four semesters (Semesters 1, 2, 3 & 4) of the program, there will be both Mid-semester and Comprehensive Examinations for each course. These examinations are typically scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. In addition to the Mid-Semester & Comprehensive examinations, students must participate in Quizzes/Assignments directed online on the Learning Management System (LMS) as per the course plan during these semesters.
In the final semester (Semester 4), students will be engaged in a Dissertation/Project Work following the Institution's guidelines.
Regarding the Online MBA mode of examinations, the institute endeavours to offer two options at the time of registration for each program semester. However, it's important to note that Option 2, as explained below, is offered purely at the institute's discretion.
The availability of Option 2 is not guaranteed and is subject to the institute's assessment of its feasibility. Students must choose one from the available options provided by the institute during the registration for every semester. The two modes of examination options are clarified below:
Option 1 – Exam conducted at Designated BITS Exam Centres: Students opting for this option will be required to appear in person at the Organization's designated exam centres as per the exam schedule, instructions, rules, and guidelines announced before each examination. These designated examination centres are in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Goa, and Pilani. Additionally, the Institution has a designated examination centre in Dubai.
Option 2 - Online Examinations: Students can take the examinations anywhere, such as at their office or home. However, the institute may choose not to offer this option at its discretion. In such cases, students will need to take the examinations as per Option 1, which requires appearing at any designated examination centres.
It is important to be aware that while the institute aims to offer both options for students to choose from during registration for any semester, the availability of the online mode option may not always be feasible or assured, and the institute may choose to offer only Option 1, as mentioned above.
