Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani Goa is a Deemed University formed in 2004 in Goa. The Institute has been providing engineering and science programs at UG and PG, respectively, with various specializations. The programs offered are B.Tech and M.Sc. with having accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade.

  • Minimum eligibility required for admission to the B.Tech program is 10+2 with PMC/B from any recognized board and must have English proficiency.
  • The students will be 1st shortlisted in the 10+2 merit list and later on the performance of the BITSAT exam.
  • Students Opting for the M.Sc. program must have B.Sc. as basic eligibility in the applicable stream.
  • The Admissions to M.Sc. program will be granted based on BITSAT.

BITS, Pilani Goa B.Tech Admissions:

The Institute has been providing B.Tech Honours Program with six specializations for 4 years duration. The students are supposed to hold 10+2 level education or equivalent with PMC/B as compulsory subjects with 75% marks and English proficiency. The students will be 1st shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying exam and later into final shortlisting based on the BITSAT exam's performance.

BITS, Pilani Goa M.Sc. Admissions:

The students seeking admission to the M.Sc. program offered by the institute must have basic eligibility of a B.Sc. degree in relevant stream from any recognized university with 60% marks. The Students will be selected based on the merit in the qualifying exam and performance in the BITSAT exam.

Key Points:

  • Students who have appeared for the 10+2 exam in or before 2016 are not treated as eligible to apply for the B.Tech program.
  • First Rank holders of Central and State board holders are offered direct admission since 2019.
  • A student with a valid SAT score and holds a passport can apply for Admission to BITS, Pilani in Goa, and Hyderabad.
  • The students who have a valid score in BITSAT conducted in 2019 are eligible to apply for the Dubai Campus of BITS.

BITSAT Exam Pattern: The BITSAT exam conducted by BITS, Pilani, is a computer-based exam for a duration of three hours consisting of four sections. The correct answer carries three marks, whereas a wrong answer gives one penalty mark. The Exam consists of the following four sections:

BITSAT Merit List Preparations: The students will be first categorized or shortlisted based on the Merit in the 10+2 exam. The final merit list or shortlisting will be based on the students' BITSAT score. The Institute creates two merit lists at the time of admissions. One is for B.Pharm, and the other list is for other programs.

BITS, Pilani Goa Application Process:

The application process of the Institute is carried online through the BITS Website. After the application form is filled, the students will be provided with a unique Application no. which has to be kept for future reference. The Filled application form has to be downloaded by the students. The application fee of INR 2950/- has to be paid through any mode of payment option.

BITS, Pilani Goa Scholarship Details:

  • The Institute has provided a Scholarship facility for the students under the non-profiting organization called BITSAA.
  • The scholarship provided by the institute compensates 80% of semester fees of the 1% of students and offsets 40% of semester fees of 2% of students under the Merit-based criteria.
  • 3% of the students will be given 80% compensation, 6% of the students will receive 80% compensation, and 12% will receive 25% of payment under Merit-cum-means scholarship.

For getting BITS Pilani Goa admissions, we must write the BITSAT which is their own entrance test for the courses in this college. After I appeared or entrance and I got the results which showed the marks I had secured. There was several process of admission in which I got allotted with the seat. I got seat after 4 processes after which I had to report to the college.

For B-Tech CSE admissions, the institute will consider BITSAT cut-off scores. For the CSE stream, the accepted rank through BITSAT is 295.

 
B.Tech admission to BITS is required. What are the criteria?

The higher senior secondary test with BITSAT is a requirement for B.Tech admission at BITS Goa. For students who are Board top scorers or Science stream top scorers with PCM, there is also a provision for direct admissions.

Is direct admission possible for the B-Tech program in this College without appearing for the entrance test?

No, there is no provision for direct admission, and the selection process is based on the University level entrance exam at BITSAT.
