Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University is a government university with various campuses and a unitary structure offering academic, undergraduate, and postgraduate humanities and social sciences programs. The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi created it in 2007 through an Act of Legislature, and it started functioning in July 2008. The university has now been designated eligible to receive federal government funding. The NAAC has given the university an 'A' rating. The university strives to combine greatness with value and social equity and establish an institutional culture of non-discriminatory work, innovation, and collaboration. The university believes that no information is socially useful unless it spreads through society, overcoming obstacles such as class, station, and faith. Educating and learning can become liberating endeavors, contributing to social equity, excellence, and uniformity. AUD considers it to be its mission to build sustainable and effective linkages between access to and success in higher education, based on the vision of Dr. Ambedkar of social justice and bridging equality with excellence.
AUD is a university dedicated solely to studying humanities and social sciences. In today's polarised world, we believe that studying these streams will not only help to improve cultural understanding but will also help to modify human experiences into lectures for the future. The university aspires to develop its students into well-informed and sensitive professionals who will take on social roles and respond to our society's marginalized groups' needs. As a result, the university's programs and structure will emphasize this aspect while never losing sight of achieving and striving for excellence.
