Balaji Institute of Telecom & Management is commonly known as BITM. It is a technology-driven business college, part of Sri Balaji University Pune. BITM Pune Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who satisfies the following eligibility criteria can apply to the BITM Pune Course admission for the MBA program of choice.

A candidate applying for admission to the MBA program must:

  • Be a graduate of a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 50% of the overall grades (45% for the reserved category).
  • Students currently in their last year of degree and convinced they would obtain at least 50% of the total credits can also enrol in MBA courses. The college authority may give more weight to the higher degree grades.
  • The Candidate must pass at least one CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET exam. It believes the score on an entrance exam cannot judge true talent. Therefore, BITM doesn't have any cutoff process. Candidates who have valid Scorecards can apply for admission.
  • The Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management cutoff for MBA is 80 in MAT, 50% in CAT, and 75% in CMAT. 
  • For students seeking admission to the Finance MBA program, Commerce is the preferred major. Students from other subjects are discouraged. However, students from all disciplines can apply for a specialization in marketing in an MBA program.

BITM Pune MBA Selection Criteria

Selection will be made based on the following parameters:

  • Candidate's performance in the written Exam
  • Group Discussion
  • Essay Writing
  • Personal interview
  1. Entrance Exam
  • Entry scores will be equated and validated against the CAT score value, which will only be counted for performance listing purposes.
  • The Institute gives only 35% of the weighting in the entrance examination when drawing up the list of merits.
  1. Group Discussion
  • Candidates who meet the qualitative requirements will be invited to the group discussion.
  • The GD is performed for a period of 30 to 45 minutes.
  • 40% of the weight in the merit list goes to the GD process.
  1. Personal interview and essay writing
  • The essay tests the Candidate's written communication skills.
  • The test is carried out for half an hour.
  • The P I and essay have a combined weight of 25%.

The following documents can be submitted for the interview:

  • Classes X and XII grade sheets
  • Diploma
  • Work certificate. (If applicable). Certificates relating to extracurricular activities (if applicable).
  • Caste certificate in case of SC/ST.

The institution generates a merit ranking based on overall performance. The definitive admissions list will be published on the website and communicated by e-mail. Selected students must pay the first instalment of BITM Pune MBA fees of INR. 55,000/- within 10 days of the admission list declaration date to confirm your admission.

MBA is a 2 years PG program. Students must have completed their graduation degree from a recognized University to qualify for admissions.  Applications can be submitted in online mode by visiting the official website.
