Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University ANGRAU was founded on June 12, 1964, under Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (ANGRAU). UGC, ICAR recognize university. The Agricultural University concept provides a strong integration of learning, teaching, expansion, and research. The consultation's main objective is to carry out first-line consulting activities, such as testing and introducing new (Latest) technologies in farmers' fields. The institute's vision is to provide citizens of the state and the country to educate themselves more in agriculture and promote research in their broad and expansion programs in agriculture and related sciences.
- The Agricultural University Acharya NG Ranga offers undergraduate and PG courses in the Home Sciences, Faculties of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, and Construction Services. The Faculties of Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering and Technology are also offered diploma programs. Institute also offers a PhD program in all streams except Environmental Science & Technology, Statistics & Mathematics, and Seed Science and Technology.
- The ANGRA University also takes non-state students through the ICAR joint entrance exams for admission to graduate and postgraduate courses.
The ANGRAU library has ten libraries, and the university library is situated at its Guntur headquarters. All university libraries have a collection in agriculture and related sciences, consisting of books, magazines, background volumes, periodicals, reports, etc. The auditorium, which was built in?? 5000 square meters, can accommodate 1000 people. The university provides hostel facilities for girls and boys, i.e., nine girls hostel, 17 boys hostel, three guest houses, and an international aspirant one separate hostel.
