Polytechnic College was founded in 1996. The Institute is approved by the Council of Technical Education of All India (AICTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. Tamil Nadu. The College seeks to offer educational programs to backward and disadvantaged communities in rural and urban areas that derive from their curriculum and contribute to society. It has well-equipped infrastructure for laboratories with improved equipment such as wheel kit (alignment) and wheel balancing, four-wheel drive and much more.
- The Institute offers diplomas in various fields, such as computer science, mechanical engineering, basic technology, electronics and communication technology, automotive engineering and electrical engineering.
- It is accredited by TCS ion to perform online tests for AIEEE, JEE, GATE, AIIMS and the Indian Navy for preliminary evaluation and pre-selection for the Service Selection Board (SSB).
- Institute performs internal training and visits to the industry with organizations such as FORD, L & T & TVS for mechanics students.
- Career planning and development of the cell was founded in 2003.
The records of the mediation of the institution were evident from the beginning.
